The basic cutting actions
Trimming, scything, scalping
These actions are as lollows
:

Move the line
head or line

until

grass
is cut
right up to the barrier, but do
not jam
(overleed) the line into

TRIMMING : This is leeding the trimmer carefully into the
material you wish to cut. Tilt the head slightly to direct the
debris away from you. Il cutting up to a barrier such as a
fence, wall or tree, approach from an angle where any
debris ricocheting off the barrier will fly away
trom
you.
Trimming can be
done
to cut through weed sterns one at
•
a
time. Place the nylon line cutter near the bottom of the
weed
never high up, which could cause the weed to chatter
and
catch
the
line. Ratherthan
cut the
weed right
through,
just
use
the
very end of the line
to wear through the stem
s/owly.

Die hier dargestellten Schneidvorgänge sind wie lolgt :
Trimmen, Mähen, Skalpieren und Kantenschneiden.
TRIMMEN : Hierbei wird der Trimmer vorsichtig an das zu
schneidende Material herangeführt. Den Fadenkopletwas
schrägstellen, damit das Schneidgutvon lhnen weggeleitet
wird. Wenn man auf eine Barriere zuschneidet, wie z.B.
einen
Zaun,
eine Wand ader einen
Baum,
müssen
Sie
sich
in einem Winkel
vorarbeiten,
so daB van der Barriere
abprallendes
Schneidgut
van lhnen weggeleitet wird.
Bewegen Sie den
Nylonfadenkopl ader die
Fadenscheibe
langsam, bis das Gras
am
Hindernis (Baum, Mauer ... )
abgemäht ist.
Wenn Sie an einem
Draht- ader
Kettengliedzaun entlang Trimmarbeiten
durchführen,
dürfen Sie den Nylonladen nicht so weit vorschnellen
lassen, daB er durch Berührung mil dem Zaun reiBt.
Beim Trimmen können Unkrauthalme nacheinander
durchgeschnitten
we_rden. Die Nylonladen-
Schneidvorrichtung untén-nie oben-an der Pflanze
ansetzen, da sich die Pllanze sonst evtl. nur beugt
und
dann wieder aulrichtet und sich in dem Nylonladen
verlangen könnte. Anstatt das Unkraut ganz
durchzuschneiden, führen
Sie das Ende des Ny/onladens
allmählich durch den Unkrauthalm.

RASATURA: É necessario prestare malta attenzione
con
il materiale che si
desidera tagliare. Scrollate
leggermente
il disco per togliere i detriti. Se state per tagliare su una
barriera,
carne ad esemplo
una
palizzata,
un
muro o un
albero, awicinatevi
da
un'angolazione
tale
per cui i detriti
che possono saltare non vi vengano contra.

Muovete la testina di taglio o il disco lentamente linché
/'erba non é stata tagliata lino al punto desiderata, ma non
insistete troppo con il lila perché se andate a cozzare
contra una rele, se il lila é troppo lungo va ad awolgersi
e
ad
impigliarsi con la rele.
1 bordi si ripuliscono anche falciando un gamba di erbacce
per volta. Mettere /'apparato di taglio con lila di nylon
accanto alla base del fascia, mai in alto dove l'erbaccia
potrebbe vibrare ed impigliarsi nel lila. Anziché la/ciare
completamente Ie erbacce, tagliare lentamente il gamba
con la punta del lila.

MÄHEN: Hierbei werden groBe Grasllächen durch
Schwingen des Trimmers in einem Halbkreis auf
gleichmäBiger Höhe gemäht. Es empfiehlt sich eine
gemessene, gleichmäBige Arbeitsweise. Auf keinen Fall
versuchen, das Gras durch Hackbewegungen zu
schneiden.
Kippen
Sie
den Ny/onladenkopl ader die
Fadenscheibe so, daB das gemähte Gras weg van lhnen
au! die bereits gemähte Fläche geworfen wird. Dann -
ohne Gras zu schneiden -.das Gerät zurücklühren, urn den
nächsten
sensenartigen Hub auszuführen. Wenn Sie gut
geschützt sind und es lhnen nichts ausmacht, wenn
Schneidgut auf Sie zu geschleudert wird, können Sie in
beide Richtungen mähen.

SCALPING AND EDGING: Bath olthese are donewith the

earth bare. Edging is
trimming
the
grass
back where it has spread over

driveway. During bath edging and scalping,
hold the unit
at a
sleep ang/e

SKALPIEREN UND
KANTENSCHNEIDEN: Beides wird
mil dem Nylonladenkopf ader der Fadenscheibe gemacht,
indem Sie steil zum Gras gekippt
werden.
Beim Ska/pieren
wird die Vegetation so weit geschnitten, daB nur der kahle
Boden zurückbleibt. Beim Kantenschneiden wird das
Gras zurückgetrimmt, wo es
über einen
FuBgängerweg
ader
eine
Zulahrt gewachsen ist. Sowohl beim
Kantenschneiden als
auch beim Ska/pieren ist das
Gerät
in einem steilen Winkel so zu halten, daB das Schneidgut
sowie sich aus
dem Boden lösende Steine und Schmutz
nicht au! Sie zugeschleudert
werden.
Obwohl Sie der Darstellung entnehmen können, wie
das
Kantenschneiden und
Ska/pieren
ablauten, muB
jede
Bedienkraltfür sich
se/bst herauslinden, in welchem Winkel
sie
ihrer KörpergröBe
und Schneidsituation nach am
besten
arbeitet.

RIFINITURA E BORDATURA:
La
bordatura viene effettuata
tenendo il disco inclinato in modo tale da lormare un
angolo acute, e tale operazione é necessaria per eliminare
la crescita, lasciando solo la base di terra.
Viene
effettuata
anche pereliminare Ja
crescita del/'erba da un marciapiede
o un'aiuola.
Durante l'azione
di rilinitura tenete il decespugliatore in
moda che la
testina lila nylon o il disco lormino
un'angolazione tale che eventuali detriti non vengano
a
colpirvi.
Sebbene Ie il/ustrazioni mostrino carne radere il suolo ed
eseguire

bordatura, l'utente deve trovare
da

l'inclinazione
