Ⅶ. Assembly
1) Fitting the “D”handle to power unit
Remove the hand tighten knob from the “D”Handle.
The power unit handle has two sections. Do not attempt to mount the D handle on the part which is
sponge rubber padded. Only mount the D handle to the bare aluminium section.
Ensure the D handle is secured tightly and that there is no movement.
(see photos as below)
2) Fitting the hedge trimmer attachment (including 100cm extra extension pole) to the power
unit:
Remove the black sheath from end of the aluminium tube (see photo as below). Please note, check
the inside of the aluminium connectors and the inside/outside if the connecting poles for any dirt, grit
or aluminium swarf that may obstruct smooth connection .Brand new connectors and tubes may be a
little tight to begin with. Please wipe clean with a rag and then rub a little oil or vaseline inside the
connectors to ensure easy fitting and disconnection.
