Step 7. Install remote sensor
The remote sensor detects when you are home and
improves in-home temperature accuracy by providing
another measurement point.
Your ecobee

will detect the sensor and ask you to name
it. Verify on the thermostat that this occurs. If your sensor
did not connect with the ecobee
3
, simply re-insert the
battery to restart the detection process.
To activate the remote sensor,
pull its plastic tab while near
your ecobee

.
