  If your Ecoer Heat Pump system isn't cooling well, several factors could be the cause. It could be due to high or low outside temperatures, which activate a normal protection control to limit RPS. Other potential causes include a dirty air filter or a blocked outlet of the indoor unit (in which case you should replace the air filter and remove any obstacles), too little refrigerant in the system (check the refrigerant amount or for any leaks), or a blocked refrigerant in the condenser coil (counterclockwise the TXV, ensuring the refrigerant coefficient is 0.6).

Other potential causes include a dirty outdoor coil (clean the outdoor coil), a dirty air filter (replace the air filter), lack of refrigerant (check refrigerant amount or any leaks), or using micro channel coil in heating (no micro channel coils shall be used for heat pump).

  There are a couple of reasons why your Ecoer Heat Pump system might not be starting up even though the digital display appears normal. First, check that the Y/O/C wirings are correctly connected and that the cooling/heating setting temperature from the thermostat is properly set. Second, the thermostat might be incompatible; try using other traditional 24Vac thermostats.
