What to do if my ECOPURE Water Filtration System has chlorine taste?
    • B
      Bryan HendersonJul 29, 2025
If your ECOPURE Water Filtration System water has a chlorine taste, it could be because the chlorine level in your water supply is too high, which can damage the reverse osmosis membrane. If the water supply contains more than 2.0 ppm of chlorine, additional filtering of the water supply is needed. Contact your local water supplier. Alternatively, the prefilter might not be removing chlorine effectively anymore. You should replace the prefilter, postfilter, and reverse osmosis membrane cartridges.

To fix a chlorine taste in your ECOPURE Water Filtration System, first check if the chlorine level in your water supply is too high. If it exceeds 2.0 ppm, you'll need additional filtering. Contact your local water supplier. Also, the prefilter might not be removing chlorine effectively. Try replacing the prefilter, postfilter, and reverse osmosis membrane cartridges.

Why does my ECOPURE Water Filtration System water taste like chlorine?
    • B
      Beth SimmonsAug 18, 2025
If your ECOPURE Water Filtration System water tastes like chlorine, it could be due to a couple of reasons. First, the chlorine level in your water supply might be too high, exceeding the system's capacity and potentially damaging the reverse osmosis membrane. If the water supply contains more than 2.0 ppm of chlorine, additional filtering is needed. Contact your local water supplier. Second, the prefilter might not be effectively removing chlorine from the water supply anymore. In this case, replace the prefilter, postfilter, and reverse osmosis membrane cartridges.
