The gas-ballast control is a mul-turn valve:
▪ From the closed posion, the rst two turns of the gas-ballast control provide an
addional oil-feed to the pump mechanism, but do not introduce gas-ballast into
the pump. The addional oil-feed improves the lubricaon and sealing of the
pump mechanism.
▪ With further turns of the gas-ballast control, the gas-ballast ow into the pump
increases from zero ow, unl the valve is fully open.
