CAUTION: DAMAGE TO MOTOR
Risk of damag
e to the equipment. High solvent ow in the inlet of the pump can
cause the pump motor to exceed the maximum motor current and trip the motor
protecon if the frequency converter is not installed.
WARNING: OPERATION SAFETY
Risk of injur
y or damage to the equipment. Make sure that there is sucient
venlaon at the locaon of the pump during ush operaon. Before you operate
the ush kit, make sure that the exhaust line and discharge are not obstructed in any
way.
WARNING: HAZARDOUS VAPOUR
Risk of injur
y. With the pump at operang temperature, vapour can escape from the
exhaust and can cause injury. Any evaporaon of substances which are detrimental
to health must be avoided.
WARNING: HOT SURFACE
Risk of burns. When y
ou manually operate the solenoid valve, there exists the risk of
suering burns. Wear protecve gloves.
CAUTION: NOISE LEVEL
Risk of damag
e to the equipment. There can be an increase in the noise levels for
short period during ush operaon.
Connect the solvent supply to the G1/4" port of the solenoid or manual valve. When
frequency converter is not installed on the vacuum pump, the maximum allowable ow
rate of solvent depends on the characterisc of the solvent used and the motor overload
protecon device.
Each variant of the ush kit has a manually adjustable valve on the owmeter to set the
required ow in l/min. Alternavely, the valve can be adjusted to discharge a required
amount of liquid in a xed me interval. To set the required solvent ow and to make
sure that the pump is not damaged during the solvent ush, follow the commissioning
procedure.
We recommend you to set the inlet purge kit (if installed) to full throle during the
solvent ush, to get a pressure of around 30 to 60 mbar at the inlet of the pump.
There are two opons to ush the vacuum pump. The selecon of the opon depends
on the properes of the deposions inside the pump that you want to remove.
