3 Installation
3.1 Locate the CXS/EH combination system
Adequate space is required around the CXS/EH combination system for service access. Refer to the installation
drawings in Appendix A1 for the recommended access area.
Move the system to its operating position using any of the following methods:
Use a forklift or pallet truck to lift the system on it's pallet
Refer to the installation drawings in Appendix A1 for topple angle and centre of gravity information.
Lift the CXS by the eyebolts.
Each system is provided with four lifting eyebolts to enable lifting, Figure 1 item 4. Ensure that you use all the lifting
eyebolts when lifting the pump. Lifting slings >1.5m should be used to obtain the correct lifting angles.
You must use suitable lifting equipment to move the system. It is too heavy to lift by hand.
If you have accessories to fit to your CXS/EH combination system, it is recommended that they are
fitted after the system has been installed in its final position. If this is not possible and accessories
need to be fitted before moving the system, then carry out a risk assessment to ensure that any
large or heavy accessories do not have an adverse impact on the method of movement/lifting.
The CXS/EH combination system must be securely fastened to it's shipping pallet if intended to be
moved by forklift or pallet truck. Do not attempt to fork or lift the system by the CXS pump base
rails.
Do not exceed the topple angle when moving the pump. When using a forklift or pallet truck, adjust
the forks to lift around the centre of gravity.
Ensure that the maximum angle between paired slings used to lift the system is 45°.
