Developer options enable system operations and USB debugging. Users can also view status information, battery usage, and controller model details.

Maintenance Features

The FC2 includes several features for maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Battery Considerations: Users are advised not to leave batteries idle for extended periods. Lithium-ion batteries have a limited lifespan (2-3 years, 300-500 cycles). Regular checks of the battery charge status are recommended, and batteries should be replaced if their runtime significantly decreases or if they have been idle for a long time without power. The battery storage temperature should be between 5°C and 20°C (41°F and 68°F). A warning is issued against charging the device below 0°C to prevent battery damage.
  • SIM Card and TF Card Installation: The controller does not support hot-swapping for SIM or TF cards. Users must shut down the controller and disconnect the charger before installing or removing these cards. Installation involves unscrewing and prying off the battery cover, removing the battery (if built-in), and then installing the cards in their designated locations.
  • Charging: Only the suggested adapter should be used to charge the battery to avoid damage.
  • Backup and Restore: A TF card is required to back up data and applications. The device supports resetting DRM licenses and performing a factory reset to erase all data.
  • System Upgrading: The operating system can be upgraded wirelessly by navigating to "Settings" > "System" > "About phone" and then tapping "Wireless upgrade" and "Check for updates." The controller will restart automatically after a successful upgrade.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides solutions for common faults, such as the device not powering on (check batteries), SIM card errors (clean, reinstall, or replace SIM card), low signal (check signal strength, environment, and distance from base station), inability to charge (charge longer or replace battery), inability to connect to network (check signal, reinstall or replace SIM card), and reduced standby time (check mobile signal or replace battery).
  • FCC and CE Compliance: The device complies with FCC and CE regulations, including limits for Class B digital devices and essential requirements of Directive 2014/53/EU. Users are warned against unauthorized modifications that could void their authority to operate the equipment. Information on specific absorption rate (SAR) is provided, indicating compliance with government requirements for exposure to radio waves. The device has been tested for typical body-worn operations with a 1cm separation distance, and users are advised to use accessories that maintain this distance.
