  Your EGO Tiller might not be starting due to several reasons: the battery pack may not be properly attached, so ensure it's firmly connected to the power head. There might be no electrical contact; remove the battery, check the contacts, and reinstall it until it snaps into place. The battery pack could also be depleted, requiring a charge with an EGO charger. Finally, make sure you're pressing the lock-off lever and trigger simultaneously to turn on the unit.

  If your EGO Tiller stops while tilling, it could be due to several reasons. The motor may be overloaded; it will recover once the load is removed. Decrease the load and avoid deep tilling, opting for progressively deeper cuts. The battery pack or power head might be too hot; allow them to cool down until the temperature drops below 152°F (67°C). The blades could be jammed; remove the battery and manually rotate the blades to dislodge any obstructions. Ensure the battery pack is properly connected, or that the battery pack is not depleted and needs charging with an EGO charger.
