‧ When assembling, make sure that the shaft grommets ⑱ are inserted correctly in the pump cover
and in the pump chamber.
‧ When assembling, make sure that the pump cover clicks gently into place when being screwed
together.
Cleaning the pump (350)
1. Turn the locking ring
⑲ in the top part of the 󰘰lter to the left (⌦R).
2. Remove the locking ring.
3. Remove the pump cover ⑮ , the pump wheel ⑯ and the shaft ⑰ from the pump chamber (⌦S).
4. Clean all components under running water.
CAUTION! Risk of breakage.
The shaft for the pump wheel is made of ceramic material.
5. Clean the pump chamber, the cooling duct and the 󰘱ow opening with the EHEIM cleaning set (art.
no. 4009560) (⌦U).
6. Install all the pump components again in reverse order.
‧ When assembling, make sure that the shaft grommets ⑱ are inserted correctly in the pump cover
and in the pump chamber.
‧ Make sure that the O-ring ⑳ is inserted correctly in the pump cover.
‧ When assembling, make sure that the locking ring is closed as far as it will go.
Cleaning/replacing 󰄈lter media (⌦B)
1. Type 2426 only: Remove the cover grid
① from the 󰘰lter container.
2. Remove the white 󰘰lter 󰘱eece ② and all 󰘰lter inserts from the 󰘰lter container.
3. Clean the blue 󰘰lter mats and the EHEIM SUBSTRAT under cold, running water until there is no
longer any visible cloudiness in the water.
Recommended maintenance
‧ The white 󰘰lter 󰘱eece must be replaced after each cleaning.
‧ The blue 󰘰lter mats must be replaced after each 2nd – 3rd cleaning.
‧ When using fresh EHEIM SUBSTRAT, mix approximately 1/3 of the used 󰘰lter medium with the new
material so that the bacteria cultures can propagate more quickly.
4. Clean the 󰘰lter housing under running water.
5. Push the 󰘰lter inserts back into the 󰘰lter housing, see the chapter Preparation, inserting the 󰄈lter
inserts (⌦B).
6. Place the white 󰘰lter 󰘱eece on the upper 󰘰lter insert.
7. Type 2426 only: Insert the cover grid.
Checking/greasing the seals
1. Check whether the pro󰘰le seal
⑦ in the top part of the 󰘰lter is clean and is inserted in the groove
correctly (⌦D).
2. Check whether the sealing rings of the hose adapter are clean and are inserted in the grooves
correctly (⌦F).
3. Lightly grease the pro󰘰le seal and the sealing rings with EHEIM special grease (⌦D/F).
