2. CONFIGURING AND PAIRING WITH THE SYSTEM
ELDES
coniguraion
sotware
For more details on how to conigure and pair the device with the system, please refer to ELDES coniguraion
sotware’s documentaion or ELDES alarm system’s installaion/user manual located at eldesalarms.com
Once the 5-second period ater the batery acivaion has passed, EWD3 device will start indicaing the pairing status. Single long lash
of the indicator (approx. 1 sec. length) represents the unpaired wireless device status suggesing the device can be paired with the alarm
system, while the 3 short lashes represent the wireless device that is paired with the alarm system.
If you are unable to pair the wireless device, please restore the parameters of the wireless device to default and try again (see 7.
RESTORING DEFAULT PARAMETERS for more details.)
3. EWD3 ZONES AND TAMPER
Upon successful EWD3 device pairing process, the system adds 2 wireless Instant-type zones. The wireless zones can be set up to operate under one of
the following modes each:
Zone 1:
• Magneic door contact – Designed for causing an alarm (by default) if doors/windows are opened, while the system is armed.
• NO/NC sensor – Designed for causing an alarm (by default) if the wired digital sensor, connected to Z and COM terminals, is triggered, while the system
is armed. This mode does NOT operate with Flood sensor mode on Zone 2 simultaneously.
• EOL sensor – Designed for causing an alarm if the wired sensor with EOL resistor, connected to Z and COM terminal, is triggered.
Zone 2:
• Shock sensor – Designed for causing an alarm (by default) if the built-in shock sensor is triggered by vibraions.
• Flood sensor – Designed for causing an alarm (by default) if a lood sensor EFS1, connected to Z and COM terminals, is triggered when in physical
contact with water.
• NO/NC sensor – Designed for causing an alarm (by default) if the wired digital sensor, connected to Z and COM terminals, is triggered, while the system
is armed.
• EOL sensor – Designed for causing an alarm if the wired sensor with EOL resistor, connected to Z and COM terminal, is triggered.
• Tapparella – Designed for connecing a wired external device (e.g. roller detector model Switchalarm3) to Z and COM terminals. To cause a zone
violaion it has to be triggered a set number of imes – pulses per ime period - when anyone atempts to physically open or close roller blinds. Speciic
pulses count can be set in “Counter“ secion (the default number is 5).
