Troubleshooting
Check these points to help save you time and money.

handlesdown.
• Donot placeglassesover tines.
• Beforeloading,scrapeoff burnt-onfoodsandwipethestarchyfilm
fromutensilsusedwithpasta,riceandoatmeal.Thesesoilsrequire
moreenergythan the restof theloadtoclean.

•Aluminumutensilsorpanscan leavemarkswhentheyrubagainst
otheritems.Leavea slightspacebetweenitems.
• Irondepositsinthewatercanleavea yellow,brownororangefilmon

a watertreatmentcompany.
• Separatesilveror silver-platedsilverwarefromstainlesssteel.These
metalscanbedamagedby contactwitheach otherduringwashing.
• Colorfromtomatosaucesmayadheretotheinteriorpartsofthe
dishwasher(pg.21). If lightstaininghasoccurred,leavethedooropen
tooxidizethestainaway.Usea dishwasherdetergentthatcontains
chlorinetobetterfightstaining.
• Certaindishwasherdetergentsmaystainsilver.Tryanotherbrandof
detergent.
