This document serves as a user manual for an Electrolux dishwasher, model EEA727200L, providing comprehensive instructions for its installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Function Description
The Electrolux dishwasher is designed for cleaning household-type dishes and tableware in an indoor environment. It offers various wash cycles tailored to different levels of soil and load types, aiming for efficient use of energy and water. The appliance features a water softener system to remove minerals from the water supply, which helps prevent poor washing results and limescale buildup. It also includes a rinse aid dispenser to improve drying results and prevent streaks and stains.
The dishwasher incorporates an "Auto Off" function to save energy by automatically switching off when not in operation, either after a program is completed or after 5 minutes of inactivity if a program was not started. The "AirDry" function enhances drying by automatically opening the appliance door during the drying phase, allowing dishes to air dry.
Usage Features
The dishwasher offers a user-friendly control panel with an On/Off button, Delay Start button, indicators for various statuses (ECO, Rinse Aid, Salt, Machine Care, Drying Phase), and a MY TIME program selection bar.
Program Selection:
The MY TIME selection bar allows users to choose a suitable dishwashing cycle based on desired duration:
- 30min: A short program for fresh and lightly soiled loads.
- Pre-rinse (15min): A program for rinsing off food remains, preventing odors, and should be used without detergent.
- 90min: Suitable for dishwashing and drying normally soiled items.
- ECO: The longest program, designed for the most efficient use of energy and water for normally soiled crockery and cutlery. This is the standard program for test institutes.
- AUTO Sense: This program automatically adjusts the wash cycle based on the degree of soil and the amount of dishes, optimizing temperature, water quantity, and duration.
Options:
- ExtraPower: This option improves dishwashing results by increasing the wash temperature and duration of the selected program. It is not a permanent option and must be activated before each program start. Activating ExtraPower will increase water and energy consumption.
Basic Settings:
Users can configure several basic settings to customize the appliance's operation:
- Water hardness: Adjusts the water softener level according to the local water hardness to ensure good washing results.
- Rinse aid empty notification: Activates or deactivates the indicator that signals when the rinse aid dispenser needs refilling.
- End sound: Activates or deactivates an acoustic signal that sounds when a program is completed.
- Auto door open (AirDry): Activates or deactivates the AirDry function.
- Key tones: Activates or deactivates the sound made by buttons when pressed.
Daily Use Procedure:
- Open the water tap.
- Activate the appliance.
- Fill the salt container and rinse aid dispenser if empty.
- Load the baskets with dishes.
- Add detergent.
- Select and start a program using the MY TIME selection bar or AUTO Sense button. ExtraPower can be activated if desired.
- The start of a program can be delayed by 3 hours.
- The appliance can be stopped by opening the door during operation, which may affect energy consumption and program duration.
- The Auto Off function will switch off the appliance automatically upon program completion or after 5 minutes of inactivity.
Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance and longevity of the dishwasher.
Before First Use:
- Adjust the water softener level according to water hardness.
- Fill the salt container with regeneration salt (1 kg initially, with 1 liter of water for the first time).
- Fill the rinse aid dispenser.
- Open the water tap.
- Run the 30min program without detergent or dishes to remove manufacturing residuals.
Salt and Rinse Aid:
- Only use regeneration salt and rinse aid specifically designed for dishwashers.
- The salt container and rinse aid dispenser should be refilled when their respective indicators turn on.
- The rinse aid dosage can be adjusted between positions 1 (lowest quantity) and 4 or 6 (highest quantity) using a selector.
Machine Care Program:
- This program is designed to clean the appliance interior, removing limescale and grease buildup.
- The Machine Care indicator will turn on when cleaning is needed.
- Before starting, clean the filters and spray arms.
- Use a descaler or a cleaning product designed for dishwashers, following product instructions. Do not load dishes.
- To start, press and hold the AUTO Sense and ExtraPower buttons simultaneously for about 3 seconds.
Internal and External Cleaning:
- Clean the appliance interior with a soft damp cloth.
- Wipe the door, including the rubber gasket, once a week.
- For optimal performance, use a dishwasher cleaning product every two months.
- Clean the appliance exterior with a moist soft cloth and neutral detergents. Avoid abrasive products, sharp tools, strong chemicals, scourers, or solvents.
Filter System Cleaning:
- The filter system consists of three parts (flat filter, filter B, filter C) that should be checked and cleaned regularly after each use to prevent foreign objects (e.g., glass pieces, bones) from reducing cleaning performance and damaging the drain pump.
- To clean, turn filter B counterclockwise to remove it, then remove filter C from B, and finally remove the flat filter A. Wash all filters thoroughly.
- Reassemble the filters in reverse order, ensuring they are correctly positioned and locked. Incorrect filter position can lead to bad washing results and appliance damage.
Spray Arm Cleaning:
- The lower spray arm should be cleaned regularly to prevent holes from clogging. To remove, pull it upwards. Wash under running water and use a thin pointed tool (e.g., toothpick) to clear clogged holes. To reinstall, press it downwards.
- The upper spray arm should not be removed. If its openings are clogged, use a thin pointed object to remove soil particles.
General Tips:
- Load the dishwasher to its full capacity for water and energy savings.
- Do not pre-rinse dishes by hand; remove large food residues instead.
- Ensure items in baskets do not touch each other for complete water access.
- Use appropriate detergent quantity based on water hardness and detergent type (powder, gel, tablets).
- If switching from multi-tablets to separate detergent, salt, and rinse aid, perform specific steps to adjust the water softener and rinse aid settings.
- Before starting any program, ensure filters are clean, the salt container cap is tight, spray arms are not clogged, and there is sufficient salt and rinse aid.
