Function Description

The Electrolux EHI8550FOK is an induction hob designed for household cooking. It features multiple induction cooking zones that adapt to the dimension of the cookware automatically. Key functions include:

ON/OFF: Activates and deactivates the hob.
Heat Setting: Allows users to set or change the heat level for each cooking zone using a control bar. Heat settings range from 0 to 14, with 'P' indicating the Power function.
Power Function: Provides additional power to induction cooking zones for a limited period, useful for boiling large quantities of water quickly. After this period, the zone automatically reverts to the highest heat setting.
Automatic Heat Up: Accelerates the heating process by setting the zone to the highest heat setting for a short time before decreasing to the selected heat setting. This function is only available when the cooking zone is cold.
Timer Functions:
- Count Down Timer: Sets a specific operating duration (00-99 minutes) for a cooking zone, after which it deactivates.
- CountUp Timer: Monitors how long a cooking zone has been operating, displaying the elapsed time in minutes.
- Minute Minder: Functions as a standalone timer when cooking zones are not active, indicated by a 'U' on the display.
STOP+GO Function: Sets all active cooking zones to the lowest heat setting, pausing the cooking process without stopping timer functions.
Bridge Function: Connects two left-side cooking zones to operate as a single, larger cooking zone, ideal for large cookware.
Lock Function: Locks the control panel to prevent accidental changes to heat settings while cooking zones are active.
Child Safety Device: Prevents accidental operation of the hob by locking the control panel.
OffSound Control: Allows deactivation and activation of the hob's sounds, with options for sounds off (b1) or sounds on (b0).
Power Management Function: Manages power distribution across cooking zones, especially when the total electricity loading on a single phase exceeds 3700 W. It decreases power to other zones connected to the same phase to prevent overload.

Usage Features

OptiHeat Control (3-step Residual Heat Indicator): Displays residual heat levels (H, h, h) after cooking, indicating whether the zone is hot enough for continued cooking, keeping warm, or just residual heat.
Automatic Switch Off: The hob automatically deactivates under certain conditions, such as no heat setting being selected after activation, spills on the control panel, overheating, or incorrect cookware use.
Cookware Compatibility: Designed for induction-compatible cookware made of cast iron, steel, enamelled steel, or stainless steel with a multi-layer bottom. Non-compatible materials include aluminium, copper, brass, glass, ceramic, and porcelain. A magnet test can confirm compatibility.
Energy Saving (Öko Timer): The heater of a cooking zone can deactivate before the countdown timer sounds to save energy, with the duration depending on the heat setting and cooking time.

Maintenance Features
