Overview

This document is a user manual for the Electrolux EWH 30–100 Fmx EEC and EWH 30–100 FmxDL EEC sealed storage electric water heaters. It provides detailed instructions and specifications in multiple languages.

The primary function of these devices is to heat cold water from the water supply system for domestic purposes. The water from the heater is not intended for drinking or cooking. The water heater features automatic temperature control, where a thermostat sensor reacts to drops in water temperature, activating the heating element to maintain a pre-set temperature. Once the desired temperature is reached, the heating element automatically turns off.

Key technical specifications include:

  • Storage Volume: Available in 27, 46, 73, and 93 liters.
  • Rated Power: 2000 W for all models.
  • Supply Voltage: 220-240V~50Hz.
  • Amperage: 9.09 A.
  • Minimum Pressure: 0.8 Bar.
  • Maximum Pressure: 7.5 Bar (a pressure reducing valve should be installed if the supply pressure exceeds this).
  • Maximum Water Temperature: 75 °С.
  • Class of Electrical Protection: I class.
  • Safety Level: IPX4.
  • Heating Time (from 10 °С to 75 °С): Varies by volume, from 71.4 minutes for 27L to 238.8 minutes for 93L (calculated under ideal ambient conditions).
  • Dimensions (W×H×D): For 27L and 46L models, 344×545×359 mm and 344×825×359 mm respectively. For 73L and 93L models, 454×729×469 mm and 454×879×469 mm respectively.
  • Net/Gross Weight: Varies by volume, from 16.08/17.75 kg for 27L to 31.76/35.8 kg for 93L.

The water heaters incorporate several protection features:

  • Overheating Protection: Prevents the water from reaching dangerously high temperatures.
  • Corrosion Protection: Inner steel tanks are manufactured with a special protective coating using advanced electrostatic dry powder enameling. This special alloy is resistant to corrosion and scale. The fine-dispersion glass enamel coating offers increased adhesiveness and high plasticity, expanding and contracting with temperature changes without forming microcracks.
  • Hydraulic Pressure Protection: A safety valve releases excess pressure to prevent damage from exceeding permissible hydraulic pressure levels.
  • Dry Heating Elements (TEN): These elements are reliable, safe, and have a long service life. They are placed in protective metal casings covered with glass enamel, preventing direct contact with water and thus reducing scale formation, which enhances performance and extends service life.
  • Residual Current Device (RCD): Provides 100% protection against electric shock. It has a power indicator and a TEST button for checking its functionality.

Usage features include:

  • Control Panel: Fmx EEC models have a temperature control knob (On/Off) and a power indicator light. FmxDL EEC models feature a panel board with ON/OFF, temperature adjustment (+/-), SET, and POWER buttons, along with a digital display.
  • Temperature Setting: The temperature can be adjusted between 30 °С (minimum) and 75 °С (maximum). Fmx models use a knob, while FmxDL models use buttons for 1°C accuracy.
  • ECO Mode: Available on both Fmx EEC and FmxDL EEC models, this mode heats water to a comfortable 50-55 °С, prevents scale formation, and extends the device's operational life.
  • Smart Features (FmxDL EEC): By pressing the POWER button four times, the device enters an intelligent control mode with a pre-programmed temperature schedule that adjusts daily based on time points (e.g., 65°C at 5:00, 45°C at 7:00).
  • Antifreeze Mode (FmxDL EEC): Automatically starts heating when the inner tank water temperature drops below 6 °C and stops at 10 °C, preventing freezing. This function requires the device to be connected to the power supply.
  • Power Mode Selection (FmxDL EEC): Allows for fast heating or use in rooms with limited power supply.
  • Water Filling: Before connecting to the electrical network, the water heater must be completely filled with water. This is done by opening the cold water supply valve and a hot water tap on the mixer until water flows out, then closing the tap and checking for leaks.
  • Electrical Connection: All models are designed for 220/240 V single-phase voltage. A properly grounded socket with a rated current of at least 10 A is required. The electrical connection must include an earth ground and a dedicated circuit breaker.
  • Water Connection: G1/2 diameter pipes are used. A safety valve must be installed at the cold water inlet, with a flexible drain hose directed to a special drain. If the main pressure exceeds 5 bar, a water pressure reducer must be installed.

Maintenance features:

  • Regular Maintenance: To ensure a long service life and maintain the warranty, qualified specialists must perform maintenance at least once a year after the start of operation. This includes checking for scale on the heating element and in the inner tank, and assessing the condition of the magnesium anode.
  • Magnesium Anode Replacement: If the magnesium anode is severely worn (residual volume less than 30% of the original), it must be replaced. Failure to do so invalidates the warranty for the water tank and heating element.
  • Scale Prevention: Regular maintenance is a preventive measure against scale accumulation, which can lead to device failure and void the warranty.
  • Water Draining: If the water heater will not be used for a long time or if the room temperature may drop below 0 °C, the water must be completely drained. This can be done using the safety valve, after disconnecting the device from the power supply and closing the cold water inlet valve.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a table of common failures, their causes, and elimination steps, such as contacting a service technician for temperature controller failure or replacing a pipe seal for water leakage.

The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes to the design and characteristics of the device without prior notice. The manual may contain technical and typing errors.
