Function Description

The Elevate Outdoor 2 Bike Storage Rack is designed to store two bicycles vertically, utilizing a freestanding structure. It provides a stable and organized solution for bicycle storage, suitable for various frame types and sizes. The rack features adjustable bike arm bars to accommodate different bicycle configurations, ensuring secure placement.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Capacity: Designed to hold 2 bicycles.
  • Weight Limit: Do not exceed a 200 lb (approximately 90.7 kg) total weight limit for the rack.
  • Components:
    • Vertical Uprights (A & B): Two top vertical uprights and two bottom vertical/leg uprights form the main vertical structure.
    • Legs (C): Two back legs provide rear support.
    • Stabilizer Bar (D): One front stabilizer bar enhances stability.
    • Connectors (F): Two top/bottom connectors link the vertical sections.
    • Bike Arm Bars (G): Four bike arm bars are provided for holding bicycles. These are adjustable.
    • Bike Cradles (H & I): Four plastic bike cradles and four rubber inserts for the bike cradles protect bicycle frames.
    • Internal Connectors (J): Two upright internal connectors join vertical sections.
    • Logo Plate (E): One middle logo plate for branding.
    • Fasteners: Includes SHC screws (25mm), 4mm head cap nuts, washers, 13mm hex head bolts (40mm), small hex key (4mm), large hex key, and knobs for bike arms.
    • End Caps: Two plastic end caps for Part A.

Usage Features

  • Two-Bike Capacity: Efficiently stores two bicycles, ideal for households with multiple bikes or limited space.
  • Adjustable Bike Arms: The bike arm bars (Part G) are adjustable along the vertical uprights (Parts A and B). This allows users to customize the height and position of the arms to fit different bicycle frame sizes and styles, including straight tube bikes, slant tube frames (19" or less), extra-large frames, slant tube frames (over 19"), and BMX frames.
  • Frame Compatibility: The design accommodates various frame configurations. For straight tube bikes and smaller slant frames, arms can be turned to the inside of the upright. For larger frames and BMX bikes, arms can be turned to the outside.
  • Protective Cradles: Plastic bike cradles (Part H) with rubber inserts (Part I) are used to support the bicycle frame, preventing scratches and damage.
  • Freestanding Design: The rack is freestanding, meaning it does not require wall mounting, offering flexibility in placement.
  • Stability: The design incorporates back legs (C) and a front stabilizer bar (D) to ensure the rack remains stable when loaded with bicycles. Proper tightening of all fasteners is crucial for stability.

Maintenance Features

  • Regular Inspection: Users are advised to inspect the product before each use to ensure it is properly assembled, all parts are in safe working order, and free of defects.
  • Tightening Fasteners: All SHC screws and bolts should be tightened securely during assembly and checked periodically. The instructions emphasize hand-tightening initially, followed by full tightening with hex keys.
  • Level Placement: The assembly should be placed on a flat and level surface, ensuring all four legs touch the floor. Slight adjustments may be needed to maintain levelness, and periodic checks/adjustments are recommended.
  • No Modifications: Users are explicitly warned not to modify the product in any way, as this could compromise safety and void the warranty.
  • Weight Limit Adherence: Strict adherence to the 200 lb weight limit is essential for the rack's structural integrity and user safety.
  • Child and Pet Safety: Children should not be allowed to play on or around the bike rack, and pets should be kept away when not in use.
  • Warranty Support: The product comes with a one-year manufacturer's warranty covering defects in material and workmanship. The Authorized Dealer will replace defective parts or products. Warranty claims must be made directly to the original place of purchase.
  • Exclusions: The warranty does not cover damage from improper installation, misuse, abuse, accidents, modifications, or normal wear and tear. Damage incurred during shipping must be noted at the time of delivery to be covered.
