Safety
Use and Care
Inspect before use, including all bolts and nuts. Do not use if damaged. Do not modify in any way.
Do not exceed the 500 lb. weight capacity.
Distribute loads evenly on the carrier, keeping the load centered.
Secure the carrier as close to your vehicle as possible.
Beware of dynamic loading! Dropping or bouncing a load may briey create excess load, causing
personal injury and/or product failure.
Not recommended for use on tow-behind trailers including 5th wheel and camping trailers, motor-
homes, or RVs.
Never exceed the maximum tongue rating of your trailer hitch and be aware that your hauling
weight may be limited by your vehicle’s suspension. Some vehicles may require air shocks or
heavier springs to sti󰀨en up the suspension and prevent sagging.
Not recommended for hitches less than 12” from the ground to the bottom of the hitch.
Only use the carrier with a properly installed Class III or Class IV 2” hitch receiver capable of sup-
porting the carrier and its load.
Use the cargo carrier on at and level surfaces capable of supporting the carrier and its load. Mov-
ing a load on a slanted or uneven surface can result in loss of control.
Prior to transporting a load, make sure all cargo is properly secured to the carrier with appropriate
tie-downs (sold separately).
Turn o󰀨 the vehicle engine and set the parking brake before loading or unloading the carrier.
Never ride a motorized object (power scooters, lawn tractors, ATVs, etc.) onto or o󰀨 the carrier.
Only load any motorized object empty of cargo and people.
Warning: Never impede or block vehicle exhaust. Always keep a clear exhaust path.
Warning: Flammable cargo can ignite from exposure to heat. Be aware of the possible re risk and
property damage resulting from the vehicle’s exhaust system pointing at or running near the cargo
in the carrier. Do not use if this condition exists.
Follow all D.O.T. (Department of Transportation) guidelines for installation and use.
Keep the carrier clean and dry at all times.
Keep out of reach of children at all times.
When not in use, store the carrier in a secure place out of the reach of children.
