5.1.10 Oil fill procedure
Initial oil fill procedure
Check whether your compressor comes with oil filled. This
can be checked through the oil sight glass on the air oil
separator. If not, follow the oil filling procedure given
below.
Oil level check
The oil level should be half of the oil sight glass after
fumes settle down following shutdown.
Ensure that the oil level sight glass and eye vision are
parallel while checking the oil level to avoid parallax
error.

Fill oil in the oil tank up to over fill cap
Close the oil filling plug
Run the compressor for 15 minutes,
until the thermostatic valve opens
Stop the compressor
Wait 10 minutes, so that the oil present
in the circuit will flow to the tank sump
See the oil sight glass for the oil level
Initial fill
If the oil level is full, start the
compressor and run the machine for
application usage
If oil is not visible in the oil sight glass,
then slowly unscrew the oil fill plug
(only 4 turns) and wait (approx. 3 min)
so that entrapped air in the tank
evacuates
Refill oil in the tank until the max level
indicated on the tank sight glass
Close the oil fill plug
Start the compressor
