How to fix ELGi EN Air Compressor not starting?

  If your ELGi Air Compressor isn't starting, several factors could be at play. First, ensure that the power supply is available and the incoming voltage is within the specified limits. Also, check the emergency stop switch to see if it's engaged; if so, rotate it counterclockwise to release it. Inspect the isolator fuse and replace it with the correct rating if blown. Finally, examine the control MCB and replace it if it's malfunctioning.

  High oil carry-over in your ELGi Air Compressor can stem from several issues. Check if the oil level is too high and drain any excess to the recommended level. If the oil appears milky, replace it and maintain the correct level. Also, inspect the scavenge return line tube for clogs and clean it if necessary. Ensure you are using the ELGi recommended air lube oil. A punctured or collapsed separator can also cause this issue, requiring replacement with a new one.

  If your ELGi Air Compressor is experiencing high discharge oil temperature, start by checking the oil level and refilling to the correct level if it's low. Ensure that the compressor room has adequate ventilation to prevent the room temperature from exceeding the outside ambient temperature by 30°C (86°F). Clean the oil cooler assembly and pre-filter mesh externally using a fibre brush and compressed air. Also, verify that the cooling fan is rotating in the correct direction and that the oil filter isn't clogged; replace if necessary.

  Loading/unloading problems with your ELGi Air Compressor can arise from several causes. Check for a control air supply issue to the solenoid valve and replace or connect as needed. If the solenoid valve is malfunctioning, replace the solenoid valve assembly and clean the orifice. Also, inspect the intake valve and blow-down valve for any malfunctions, replacing or cleaning the respective kits and orifices. Ensure the inlet air pre-filter mat is not clogged; clean or change it as necessary.

The emergency stop switch might be pushed in, or the switch itself could be malfunctioning. Additionally, the isolator fuse might be blown, or there could be an incoming phase-to-phase or phase-to-earth voltage imbalance exceeding 5V.
