Usage Features:

  • Simultaneous Multi-Parameter Display: The large backlit custom LCD can display readouts of four different measurement functions simultaneously.
  • Touchscreen Keyboard: Facilitates comfortable operation.
  • Waterproof Housing: Enables working in difficult conditions.
  • Automatic and Manual Temperature Compensation: The meter automatically switches to automatic compensation when a temperature probe is connected, displaying a specific symbol. When disconnected, it enters manual compensation mode, indicated by a different symbol, and uses a user-set temperature value.
  • pH Electrode Calibration: Supports 1 to 5 points with automatic recognition of pH buffers and standards. User-defined buffer values can be entered. The meter provides information about pH electrode condition (white for efficient, yellow for efficiency loss/expired calibration, red for erased characteristic).
  • Conductivity Measurement: Features seven automatically switched subranges (autorange). It can convert conductivity to salinity (NaCl or KCl) and TDS, with the option to introduce a TDS coefficient. Calibration can be done by introducing the K constant or using standard solutions.
  • Dissolved Oxygen Measurement: Automatically compensates for salinity influence (using measured salinity values) and atmospheric pressure influence (via a built-in sensor) for mg/l readings.
  • Data Storage: Stores measurement results with time, date, and temperature, either as single readings or series with a set time interval. Memory is non-volatile.
  • PC Cooperation: Equipped with an RS-232 output (USB with an additional adapter) for sending recorded data or current results to a PC. Special software is provided for data transmission and collecting measurement series.
  • Real-Time Clock with Date: Ensures accurate time and date stamping of measurements.
  • Automatic Switch-Off: User-settable time for automatic power-off during non-use, extending battery life. Deactivated during calibration, series collection, or when connected to a power adapter.
  • Electrode/Sensor Management: Stores characteristics for up to three electrodes/sensors for each function, allowing quick replacement without recalibration. The color of the electrode number indicates its condition (white: efficient, valid calibration; yellow: efficiency loss or expired calibration; red: characteristic erased, calibration needed).
  • Calibration Validity: Allows setting a calibration validity expiry date, with a yellow electrode number signaling expiry.
  • Error Signaling: Triple warning sound for wrong value entry, unrecognized standards during calibration, or attempts to turn off the meter during series collection.

Maintenance Features:

  • pH Electrode Preparation: Requires conditioning in saturated KCl solution, removal of protective rings before measurement, washing in distilled water after each use, and storage in saturated KCl solution. Specific instructions are provided for refilling electrolyte and handling electrodes with protective bottles.
  • Conductivity Cell Maintenance: Advises soaking the cell in distilled water before use, especially for distilled water measurements. Emphasizes washing the cell with distilled water and avoiding mechanical cleaning of platinum electrodes to prevent damage. Provides cleaning solutions for oil and heavy sediment contamination. Proper immersion to avoid air bubbles is crucial for accurate results.
  • Dissolved Oxygen Sensor Maintenance: Requires regular conservation, including replacing membranes and electrolyte, and cleaning electrodes. Neglecting these activities will make measurements impossible. Stable measurements require natural or simulated water flow. Long-term storage (over 2 months) necessitates removing the electrolyte and re-conditioning.
  • Battery Replacement: The meter uses 2 x R6 rechargeable batteries (AA). Instructions for replacing batteries include undoing screws, pulling out the container, inserting new batteries with correct polarity, and ensuring the sealing ring is properly seated to maintain waterproof integrity. Using non-rechargeable batteries with the power adapter can damage the meter.
  • Software Updates: Information about software version and manufacturer contact details are available in the INFO tab.
