Why is my ELNA 6005 heirloom edition Sewing Machine skipping stitches?
- JJulia PhelpsAug 2, 2025
Skipping stitches on your ELNA Sewing Machine can occur for several reasons. It might be due to the needle not being inserted properly, so ensure it's correctly placed. A bent or worn needle can also cause this, so try changing it. Make sure the machine is correctly threaded. The needle or thread might be inappropriate for the fabric; use the recommended type. If sewing stretch fabric, use a No. 11 blue tip needle. Weak presser foot pressure can also lead to skipped stitches; adjust the presser bar level to increase the pressure. Finally, the needle bar height, needle to shuttle timing, or clearance between the needle and hook may be inappropriate.
