The overload protection of the pump motor is ensured by the protective switch mounted into
the starting box, which stops the operation of the motor in the case of excess current or
short circuit and signals the breakdown. If this happens, switch off the “on-off” switch and
press the button of the protective switch. The motor can be restarted, but first of all the
cause of the breakdown must be found and the defect must be corrected.
4.3 Operation
IMPORTANT! The pump must not run empty, without any liquid, because the sealing would
be damaged.
4.3.1 Operation order
- open the closing cock
- connect the starting box to the plug, the red light signals the voltage. Press the switch on -
the green light means that the pump is ready to start - the motor starts.
- when the water forwarding starts, the quantity of the outflowing water must be set by the
closing-control valve, so that the pump does not take more water from the well than the
well’s normal water output by standard suction.
4.3.2 How to stop the operation
- press the switch to “off” position, the green light goes off and the motor stops
- disconnect the two-pin plug from the plug socket, the red light goes off
- close the cock
5.) MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
If the pump is operated pursuant to the directives, no special maintenance is necessary. The
electric motor may only be disassembled in special repair shops.
IMPORTANT! The pump must be released from voltage - by disconnecting the two-pin plug
- before the maintenance or repair is started.
5.1 Occurring defects
The pump does not forward water in switched position.
Reasons:
- low water output of the well
- pump is stuck
- the suction orifice is blocked
- motor defect
ATTENTION!
If this happens, stop the motor without delay and disconnect it from the power network.
The pump usually gets stuck when foreign material (e.g. sand) enters the pump.
The defect can usually be corrected if the pump unit is washed through with network water.
IMPORTANT NOTE! Any repair affecting the sealing of the motor can only be performed
in special repair shops. After repair the sealing must be tested again for tightness and it
must be recorded in the minutes.
The power cable of the pump can only be replaced in special repair shops!
