If the system is a heat pump the defrost
sensor must be connected from the in-
door unit to the defrost sensor in the out-
door unit. Standard lead length is 25 ft,
if a longer length is required then cut the
lead and extend using thermostat wire.
The heat pump defrost sensor intercon-
nect wire comes bundled up with the indoor
units. It then should be "un-bundled" and
connected to the molex connection at the
indoor unit and run to the outdoor unit motex
connection, typically with the interconnect-
ing wiring andlor interconnecting tubing.
