It is recommended to mount the detector in a central position within the ceiling of the
room, away from heat sources and from cooking steams.
It is important to :
keep the device far away from places that are too hot or too cold.
keep the device away from places with too much wind, smoke or dust.
test the device at least once a month.
clean the ventilation openings with a cotton-bud at least once every six months;
(turn off the detector before proceeding with the cleaning).
