FLAT SURFACE MOUNTING
Disassemble the angled surface mount adaptor.
Mark and drill holes where you want to fix the tweeters. You can use the base cap directly as a
template. Three holes need to be drilled, one main hole for the cable routing and two small pilot
holes for fixing the base to the surface. You’ll need 2.5mm and 6mm drill bits and a power drill.
After drilling the holes, mount the flat base cap to the surface, using the two self tapping screws con-
tained in the accessory set. Feed the tweeter wire through the center hole and connect the tweeter
extension wire to the tweeter extension wire. Place the upper ring shaped adapter over the tweeter
and press down to lock it in place.
RECESSED TWEETER MOUNTING
After choosing a mounting location with at least 19.5 mm clearance behind the panel, the tweeter
must be disassembled to find the best mounting location. Pre-drill small pilot holes on the driver and
passenger sides where the tweeters shall be mounted. The pilot holes must now be enlarged to 46.5
mm diameter with a core drill. Reassemble the main tweeter unit into the recessed mounting adaptor.
Insert the tweeter assembly into the hole you have cut. Use the toothed ring to fix the tweeter in place
by pushing the toothed ring over the backside of the mounting adaptor. You can now connect the
tweeter extension wire to the tweeter main wires on the backside of the panel. Remount the panels,
you’re done.
