What to do if my Empire Comfort Systems DVCP36PP30N-1 has no gas or low gas pressure?
    • B
      Bethany CooleyAug 17, 2025
If your Empire Comfort Systems Indoor Fireplace has no gas or low gas pressure, first check the remote shut-off valves from the fireplace; there's usually a valve near the main line, and there may be more than one valve between the fireplace and the main line. Low pressure can result from a bent line, a pipe with too narrow a diameter, or generally low line pressure. It's best to consult with a plumber or your gas supplier to resolve this.

      Blake LeonardAug 20, 2025
If the pilot flame is too high, too low, or blowing causing the pilot safety to drop out, clean and adjust the flame to achieve maximum flame impingement on the thermocouple. Make sure to carefully follow the lighting instructions.

What to do if my Empire Comfort Systems Indoor Fireplace has a defective thermocouple?
    • P
      Paige TrujilloAug 27, 2025
If you suspect a defective thermocouple in your Empire Comfort Systems Indoor Fireplace, first check that the pilot flame impinges on the thermocouple. Clean and/or adjust the pilot for maximum flame impingement. Also, ensure the thermocouple connection at the gas valve is fully inserted and tight (hand tight plus 1/4 turn). If these steps don't resolve the issue, disconnect the thermocouple from the valve and use a millivolt meter to test it. Start the pilot and hold the valve knob in. If the millivolt reading is less than 15 millivolts, replace the thermocouple.

To resolve issues with the REMOTE/OFF/ON switch, wall switch, remote control, or wires on your Empire Comfort Systems Indoor Fireplace, check the switch and wires for proper connections. Place jumper wires across the terminal at the switch; if the burner comes on, replace the defective switch. If it's still not working, place jumper wires across the switch wires at the gas valve. What to do if my Empire Comfort Systems DVCP36PP30N-1 thermopile is not generating sufficient millivolts?
    • V
      Vanessa BradleySep 6, 2025
If the thermopile in your Empire Comfort Systems Indoor Fireplace isn't generating sufficient millivolts, try these steps: * Adjust the pilot flame to ensure it's close enough to the thermopile. * Clean the pilot orifice. * Make sure the wire connections from the thermopile at the gas valve terminals are tight and that the thermopile is fully inserted into the pilot bracket. * Clean the thermopile. * Check the thermopile with a millivolt meter. Take the reading at the TH-TP & TP terminals of the gas valve. The meter should read 350 millivolts minimum while holding the valve knob depressed in the pilot position, with the pilot lit, and the REMOTE/OFF/ON switch in the OFF position. Replace the thermopile if the reading is below the specified minimum.
