Interferential 2-pole Set-up (960 and 970)
Interferential 2-pole therapy (IFT2) is similar to Interferential 4-pole except
that the two medium frequencies are added together in the stimulator itself
to produce a beat frequency (equal to the difference in frequencies as
defined by the AMF settings) – this is then applied to the treatment site
through a single pair of electrodes.
The Interferential 2-pole set up is similar to that of the 4-pole. The
treatment time, carrier frequency, base and peak frequencies, pattern and
constant current/voltage operation are adjusted in exactly the same way.
‘Vector’ is not available in 2-pole.
