SAFETY FIRST
2.0 SAFETY ISSUES
Read all instructions, warnings and cautions
carefully. Follow all safety precautions to avoid
personal injury or property damage during
system operation. Enerpac cannot be responsible for
damage or injury resulting from unsafe product use, lack of
maintenance or incorrect product and/or system operation.
Contact Enerpac when in doubt as to the safety precautions
and operations. If you have never been trained on high-
pressure hydraulic safety, consult your distribution or service
center for a free Enerpac Hydraulic safety course.
Failure to comply with the following cautions and warnings
could cause equipment damage and personal injury.
A CAUTION is used to indicate correct operating or
maintenance procedures and practices to prevent damage
to, or destruction of equipment or other property.
A WARNING indicates a potential danger that requires
correct procedures or practices to avoid personal injury.
A DANGER is only used when your action or lack of action
may cause serious injury or even death.
WARNING: Wear proper personal protective gear
when operating hydraulic equipment.
WARNING: Stay clear of loads supported by
hydraulics. A cylinder, when used as a load lifting
device, should never be used as a load holding
device. After the load has been raised or lowered, it
must always be blocked mechanically.
WARNING: USE ONLY RIGID PIECES TO HOLD LOADS.
Carefully select steel or wood blocks that are capable of
supporting the load. Never use a hydraulic cylinder as a
shim or spacer in any lifting or pressing application.

Why is my Enerpac Water Pump oil output low?
    • M
      mvargasAug 12, 2025
Low oil output from your Enerpac Water Pump can occur due to several reasons. It could be caused by leaking pump components, a malfunctioning by-pass valve, clogged oil intake screens on piston blocks, or a low oil level. To address this, perform a back pressure test to locate any leaks, inspect and test the by-pass valve (replace if needed), check the intake screens and flush any contamination from the components, replace damaged components, and ensure the reservoir is filled to the correct level.

How to fix noisy Enerpac Water Pump operation?
    • P
      Paul GreerSep 3, 2025
Noisy operation of your Enerpac Water Pump may be due to a sticking piston block piston or damaged/missing springs or balls. To resolve this, remove the piston blocks and inspect them, replacing as required. Note that each piston block is non-serviceable.

What to do if Enerpac PME10022 motor current draw is excessive?
    • J
      Jeremy HoldenSep 12, 2025
If the motor current draw is excessive in your Enerpac Water Pump, it could be due to a defective motor, a by-pass valve malfunction, or a damaged/worn piston. You should remove the motor and test it, replacing it if necessary. Also, inspect and test the by-pass valve, replacing it if damaged or incorrectly set (note that the valve is preset). Finally, test and inspect the piston blocks, replacing them if necessary.
