Safety Precautions for Usage:
- Always check all fixtures and fittings before riding.
- Ensure a clear area and check surroundings to avoid accidents.
- Familiarize yourself with the brakes; bed them in at slow speeds and avoid sharp or erratic braking to prevent disc warping. Never use the accelerator and brakes simultaneously.
- Maintain correct tyre pressure to prevent damage and risk of failure.
- Always wear protective clothing.
- Exercise caution in wet or icy conditions, reduce speed, and use dual braking to prevent skidding.
- Do not expose the scooter to excessive water or moisture; avoid riding in heavy rain, sleet, snow, or through rivers and streams.
- Only ride in permitted areas and obey local laws and national legislation.
- Do not carry passengers; the scooter is designed for a single rider.
- Do not use if under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or if feeling unwell.
- Do not use a mobile device whilst riding.
- Age Requirement: 18+ years.
- Do not store the battery or scooter in environments exceeding 30 °C or below -10 °C.
Maintenance Features
The manual outlines several maintenance and troubleshooting aspects:
- Malfunction Codes: The LCD display shows error codes (E3, E4, E5, E6, E8, E9) to indicate specific malfunctions related to the controller unit, motor, battery voltage, brake lever, connections, and lights.
- Troubleshooting Malfunctions: For error codes, the manual provides possible causes (e.g., loose connections, damaged components) and advises photographing the error symbol and notifying EnviroRides via their Warranty Process Form or Servicing & Repairs Process Form.
- Battery Charging: The lithium battery can be charged at any level, but keeping it fully charged is recommended for optimum life and performance. The charger has an overload protection function. Connect the charger to the scooter's dry charging port, then to a UK mains socket. The charger light will be red during charging and green when fully charged.
- Battery Storage: A fully charged scooter can stand for 30-40 days uncharged, while a low-charged one can stand for 20-30 days. For lengthy storage, disconnecting the battery from the controller units and charging separately is recommended to prolong battery life.
- Packaging: Keep the original packaging for potential returns or servicing, as unsuitable packaging may incur additional costs or void refunds.
- Servicing and Repair: EnviroRides recommends that servicing or repair be performed only by a qualified EnviroRides Technician. Contacting EnviroRides before attempting repairs is advised due to the technical features of eScooters.
- Tyre Pressure: Maintaining correct tyre pressure is crucial to prevent damage to the alloy and tyres.
- Brake Bedding: New brakes may be tight and require bedding in at slow speeds to prevent warping of brake discs.
