Function Description:

The R1+ Electric Scooter is a personal electric transport device intended for individual use. It is designed for efficient and powerful travel, with features aimed at both performance and user safety. The scooter is equipped with a range of controls and indicators to manage speed, lighting, braking, and motor functions. It is crucial for users to familiarize themselves with these controls and adhere to all safety guidelines and legal regulations for electric scooters in their respective regions. The scooter is not intended for use as a medical or mobility aid, nor for carrying multiple passengers.

  • Speed Settings: The speed settings can be adjusted by pressing the power button once (to make the speed setting symbol flash) and then using the mode button to change the setting. The power button must be pressed again to lock the setting.
  • Display Readings: The mode button allows users to scroll through various readings on the LCD screen, including time, trip, odometer, distance, voltage, and channel. Holding the mode button clears the "Trip" log.

  • Tyre Pressure: Maintaining correct tyre pressure is essential to prevent failure, collision, or damage. Riding with low or flat tyres can damage the alloy and tyres.

  • Pre-Ride Checks: Before each use, all fixtures and fittings must be checked. Ensure a clear area for riding and check surroundings to avoid accidents.
  • Battery Care: The lithium battery should ideally be kept fully charged for optimum life and performance. Prolonged periods of being uncharged can impair performance and battery life. For lengthy storage, disconnecting the battery from the controller units and charging separately is recommended. The charger has overload protection.
  • Malfunction Identification: The manual provides symbols for "Brakes Activated," "Motor Fault," "Throttle or Motor Fault," and "Controller Unit Fault" to help identify potential issues. Possible causes for these faults (e.g., damaged brake levers, motor cables, controller unit) are listed.
  • Malfunction Reporting: If a malfunction occurs, users should photograph the error symbol and notify EnviroRides via their Warranty Process Form or Servicing & Repairs Process Form.
  • Packaging for Returns: Original packaging should be retained for any returns or servicing, as items returned without it or in unsuitable packaging may not be refunded or may incur additional costs.
  • Professional Servicing: Servicing or repair is recommended to be performed only by a qualified EnviroRides Technician. Attempting repairs without expertise may negate the warranty.
  • Battery Storage: The battery and scooter should not be stored in environments where temperatures exceed 30 °C or fall below -10 °C.
  • Water Detection Label: The battery is equipped with a water detection label; tampering with or removing it will void the warranty.
  • Charger and Charging Port: Chargers and charging ports are not covered under warranty.
  • Disassembly: Do not disassemble the battery, as it contains harmful substances.
  • Installation of Parts: When performing maintenance, turn off the power, install parts correctly, and avoid overtightening to prevent damage.
