Open the Epson Scan application by double-clicking the desktop icon to begin scanning.
Select 'Professional Mode' and click the 'Scan' button to start scanning.
Set the save location, file name, and image format before scanning.
Observe the scanning progress through the 'Progress' window during the scan.
Close the Epson Scan application after the scanning is complete and files are saved.
Begin the PDF scanning process by following initial steps from the image scanning section.
Choose 'PDF (*.pdf)' as the image format using the dropdown menu.
Set paper size, orientation, and confirm PDF output settings.
Choose to save the scanned file, add more pages, or edit pages before saving.
Rotate or delete pages within the scanned document using the editing tools.
Open the Abbyy FineReader application to scan and recognize text from documents.
Click 'Scan & Read' then 'Scan' to begin the text recognition process.
Export the recognized text directly to Microsoft Word format.
Use Microsoft Word to edit the text and formatting, then save the file.
Ensure the scanner is switched on using the power button on the side.
Wait for the scanner light to stabilize and dismiss the error message by clicking 'No'.
