1 Despliegue el soporte del papel y extraiga las extensiones.
Open the paper support and pull up its extensions.
2 Abra la bandeja de salida del papel y extraiga las extensiones.
Open the output tray and pull out its extension.
3 Mueva el protector del alimentador de hojas
hacia adelante.
Flip the feeder guard forward.
4 Deslice la guía lateral hacia la izquierda.
Slide the edge guide left.
Nota: no cargue el papel horizontalmente;
siempre colóquelo vertical.
Note: Don’t load the paper sideways;
always load it short edge first.
5 Cargue papel contra la guía lateral derecha y deslice la guía lateral
izquierda hacia el papel.
Load paper against the right edge guide and slide the left edge
guide over.
6 Mueva el protector del alimentador de hojas hacia atrás.
Flip the feeder guard back.
5 Coloque cada cartucho en el soporte que corresponde a su color.
Insert the cartridges in the holder for each color.
6 Presione los cartuchos hasta que calcen en su lugar.
Press the cartridges down until they click.
7 Cierre la cubierta y presiónela para cerrarla.
Close the ink cartridge cover and press it down until it clicks.
8 Baje el escáner.
Close the scanner.
9 Stylus CX5900: oprima el botón Iniciar para cargar la tinta.
Aparece un mensaje en la pantalla del panel de control avisando que
la tinta se está cargando aparece y la luz de Encender destella.
Stylus CX5900: Press the Iniciar button to charge ink. The photo
viewer screen displays a message indicating that the ink is charging
and the On light flashes.
Stylus CX4900: oprima el botón de tinta para iniciar la carga de
tinta.
Stylus CX4900: Press the
Ink button to charge ink.
La carga se tarda unos 2 minutos.
Charging takes about 2 minutes.
Precaución: no apague el equipo mientras la luz de funcionamiento esté
destellando o gastará tinta.
Caution: Don’t turn off the Epson Stylus CX while the On light is
flashing or you’ll waste ink.

Note: The ink cartridges that came with your printer have a lower yield due
to the ink charging process. This process is carried out the first time you
turn on your printer and guarantees better performance.
Don’t load paper before installing the ink cartridges.
Precaución: mantenga los cartuchos de tinta fuera del alcance de los
niños y no ingiera la tinta.
No saque los cartuchos de tinta de su envoltorio hasta que esté listo para
instalarlos. Los cartuchos están embalados herméticamente para garantizar
su fiabilidad.
Caution: Keep ink cartridges out of the reach of children and don’t drink
the ink.
Do not open ink packages until you are ready to install the ink. Cartridges
are vacuum packed to maintain reliability.
1 Abra el escáner.
Lift up the scanner.
2 Abra la cubierta del

Open the ink cartridge
cover.
3 Agite los cartuchos, luego
sáquelos de su envoltorio.
Shake the ink cartridges,
then unpack them.
4 Despegue la cinta adhesiva amarilla
de cada cartucho.
Remove the yellow tape from
each cartridge.
Precaución: no despegue

any other seals from the
