  If the Error LED on your Epson Printer is on or flashing, it could be due to several reasons. Printing might stop if the print head overheats, but it will resume automatically once it cools down. Ensure that all the printer covers are properly closed. The autocutter blade may be locked; it might return to the correct position automatically, but if not, refer to the section about the roll paper cover not opening because of a locked autocutter blade. If there is a paper jam, clear it as described in the 'Paper jam occurs' section. As a general step, try turning the printer off, waiting for 10 seconds, and then turning it back on.

  If a paper jam occurs in your Epson Printer, first, remember not to touch the thermal head, as it can be very hot after printing; allow it to cool down. If the roll paper is jammed, turn off the printer, open the roll paper cover using the tabs on both sides, and remove the jammed paper. If the slip paper is jammed, turn off the printer, open the front cover using the tabs, open the front carriage unit using the lever, and then remove the jammed paper.

  The roll paper cover on your Epson Printer might not open because the autocutter blade is locked. To resolve this, turn off the printer. Then, pull the lever on the left side of the receipt unit to open it. Next, turn the knob of the autocutter blade in the direction of the arrow until you see a pin in the opening of the frame.
