not start.
Spark plug defective? Replace spark plug.
Engine too cold? Follow cold starting procedures
and set to anti-freeze mode if
necessary.
Engine too hot? Wait until engine is cool. Follow
warm starting procedures,
then check and set the correct
standard/anti-freeze mode
Carburetor setting not correct? Adjust the carburetor by dealer
or authorized service centre.
Engine does
not reach
the maximum
speed.
Air lter is soiled? Clean the air lter.
Spark plug is soiled (tip is
rusted)?
Clean spark plug.
Distance from electrode to spark
plug too great?
Set gap between electrodes
between 0.7 mm.
Incorrect fuel or incorrect
mixture?
Empty tank and ll up with the
correct mixture.
Carburetor setting not correct? Adjust the carburetor by dealer
or authorized service centre.
Excess
smoke from
the engine.
Incorrect fuel or incorrect
mixture?
Stop the engine and empty
tank, then ll up with the correct
mixture.
Chain does
not start.
Chain brake engaged? Disengage chain brake.
Chain starts
up before
throttle trigger
is pressed.
Chain brake is not engaged? Engage chain brake.
Idling speed too high? Press throttle trigger again
slightly after starting.
Adjust the carburetor by dealer
or authorized service centre.
Insufcient
chain
lubrication/
grease.
The saw chain oil tank empty? Fill up saw chain oil.
Oiling port clogged? Clean oiling port.
