Initial Settings
The first time you turn on your phone, you may want to
choose the ring signal type and set the clock and date. For
more information about these and other settings, see “Per-
sonalizing Your Phone” on page 44.
Display Language
Most modern SIM cards automatically set the display lan-
guage to the language of the country where you bought
your SIM card, (
Automatic
). If this is not the case, the preset
language is
English
. To change the display language, see
“Display Language” on page 49.
If your phone shows a language that you do not understand,
you can change it to
Automatic

, in the following
ways:
To change the display language to Automatic
1. If not in standby mode, press and hold the
