Overview

This document is a user manual for the Esatto EO605MS 60cm 5 Function Built-in Oven.

Function Description

The Esatto EO605MS is a built-in oven designed for domestic use. It offers five cooking functions:

  • Grill: This function uses the inner grill element for everyday grilling, directing heat downwards onto the food.
  • Grill & Fan: This function combines the inner grill element with the fan, making it suitable for grilling a large amount of food.
  • Convection: This function circulates heat from the rear heating element throughout the cavity by the fan. It is an economical and conventional cooking method that also helps food cook faster whilst reducing hot and cool spots and helping dishes on every shelf cook more evenly.
  • Defrost: This function circulates room temperature air without any heating elements. It gently and quickly speeds up the defrosting time and thawing of ready-made dishes, cream-filled produce, etc.
  • Oven Light: This function allows the user to observe the progress of cooking without opening the door. The oven lamp will light for all cooking functions.

The oven features a control panel with a Function Knob, Timer Knob, Temperature Knob, and a Preheat Indicator. It also includes a manual cooking mode where the cooking duration is controlled by the user without a timer. The timer knob can be set to engage manual cooking mode or to turn off the oven after a set number of minutes. The temperature knob and function knob are used to set the desired cooking settings.

Usage Features

The oven is supplied with accessories including:

  • 2 x Wire Shelves: For grilling, dishes, cake pan with items for roasting and grilling.
  • 2 x Slide Brackets: These shelf support rails on the right and left sides of the oven can be removed.
  • 1 x Baking Tray: This tray can be placed on the oven base, using the Grill and Grill & Fan functions, for cooking large quantities of food such as cakes, pastries, frozen food, etc., or for collecting fat/spillage and meat juices.

Shelf Placement: To ensure safe operation, correct placement of the shelves between the side rail is imperative. Shelves and the pan can only be used between the first and fifth layers. The shelves should be used with the right direction, ensuring that during careful removal of the shelf or tray, hot food items do not slide out.

Before First Use:

  • Before using the oven for the first time, users should read the manual thoroughly to familiarize themselves with the installation and operation instructions.
  • After the appliance has been properly installed and before first use, it is recommended to burn off any dust, oil or other contaminants that may have been left inside the cavity from the manufacturing process or transportation. This can be done by running the empty oven with the conventional cooking function at 250°C for at least 90 minutes.

Ventilation: When cooking is finished, or in a paused or standby state, and if the oven cavity temperature is over 75 degrees, the cooling fan will operate for 15 minutes or until the oven cavity temperature becomes lower than 75 degrees. Ventilation openings are present to facilitate this cooling process.

Installation Instructions: The oven must be fitted into the space provided in the kitchen unit, ensuring it is mounted underneath a worktop or into an upright cupboard. The oven is fixed in position by screwing into place, using the two fixing holes in the frame. To locate the fixing holes, open the oven door and look inside. Adequate ventilation, measurements and distances adhered to when fixing the oven are crucial. The kitchen unit material must be heat resistant, capable of withstanding temperatures of at least 120°C. Plastic or glued parts that cannot withstand high temperatures will melt and deform the unit. All parts must be completely insulated. The electrical parts must be firmly fixed into place so that it is impossible to remove them without using special tools. The rear of the kitchen unit must ensure an adequate current of air circulates around the oven. The hob must have a rear gap of at least 45mm. The cavity is not to include the power switch or socket. The oven and cabinet dimensions are in millimetres.
