Disc indicator
This shows the type of disc that is loaded.
Super Audio CD: SACD
Standard audio CD: CD
o If a DVD-Video (DVD-V), DVD-Audio (DVD-A) or video CD (VCD)
is loaded, the indicator will light, but the disc cannot be played
back.

Repeat indicator ( )
This appears during repeat playback (see p. 19)

SETUP indicator
This appears when in setting mode (see p. 24).

Message display area
This shows the playback time and a variety of messages.

DOWN MIX indicator
When playing back the multichannel audio of a Super Audio CD,
it is downmixed and output as stereo audio (2 channels). The
DOWN MIX indicator lights at such times.

Channel indicator
L and R light during stereo audio (2-channel) playback.
During multichannel audio playback, the indicators that corre-
spond to the recorded channels light.
