Overview

The EST iO64 Intelligent Life Safety System is a sophisticated fire alarm control panel designed for small to mid-sized applications. It combines high-end intelligent processing with a user-friendly interface, offering advanced features for both building owners and contractors.

Function Description

The iO64 system provides comprehensive life safety management, including intelligent detection, electronic addressing, automatic device mapping, and optional Ethernet connectivity. It supports a single Class B analog device loop for up to 64 intelligent devices and two Class B Notification Appliance Circuits (NACs). Optional Class A device wiring is available with an SA-CLA module.

The system's front panel features a large backlit 80-character LCD display that shows system status, event details, and programming prompts. Large tactile control buttons and bright multi-color LEDs provide at-a-glance status indication and easy operation, even in low light conditions. Two fully-programmable front panel switch/LED combinations, with slide-in labels, offer additional flexibility for custom applications.

The iO64 is particularly well-suited for retrofit applications as all connections are made over standard wiring, eliminating the need for shielded cable and allowing the use of existing wiring to upgrade legacy control panels.

Key Features:

  • Intelligent Detection: Supports Signature Series modules and detectors, including multisensor detectors for reliable suppression.
  • Electronic Addressing and Automatic Device Mapping: Simplifies installation and ensures devices are correctly located on the system.
  • NACs: Two Class B NACs are standard, configurable for continuous, temporal, synchronized, latching, and coded output. Optional Class A wiring is available.
  • Relays: Includes Form C for Alarm and Trouble, and Form A for Supervisory relays.
