Usage Features

Assembly: The e-bike requires some assembly upon unboxing, including unfolding the stem and handlebar, installing brake levers, pedals, the battery pack, and the chain, and adjusting the seat. Detailed instructions with diagrams are provided for each step.

Dashboard and Controls: The e-bike features a dashboard that displays battery power, speed, riding mode, and other information. Controls include:

  • Key Lock: To turn the e-bike ON/OFF.
  • Throttle: For pure electric mode.
  • Headlight Switch: To manually turn the front light ON/OFF.
  • Photosensitive Switch: Automatically turns on front and rear lights in dark conditions if the headlight switch is off.
  • Riding Mode Switch: Toggles between 5 riding modes:
    1. Pedal only mode
    2. Pedal assist mode level 1 (up to 5mph / 7.5 km/h)
    3. Pedal assist mode level 2 (up to 10 mph / 15km/h)
    4. Pedal assist mode level 3 (up to 16 mph / 25km/h)
    5. Throttle only mode (maximum speed of 16 mph / 25km/h)
  • Horn Button: Activates the horn.
  • Front and Rear Brakes: Gradually applied to slow down or stop. The throttle is disengaged when brakes are applied.

Riding Instructions:

  • Adjust seat height for comfortable posture.
  • Insert key and turn clockwise to power on; check battery level.
  • Hold brake, straddle the bike, step on pedal, and sit down.
  • Release brake slowly, push off with foot, and begin pedaling.
  • Use throttle gradually, especially when learning.
  • Release throttle to slow down; use brakes as needed.
  • Adjust brake pressure based on terrain; use rear brake for most conditions, both for emergencies. Avoid using only the front brake to prevent slippage.

Safety Reminders:

  • Always wear an approved helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and other protective gear.
  • Follow traffic laws and regulations; do not ride in motorways.
  • Maintain safe braking distance and apply brakes gradually.
  • Do not ride in severe water accumulation.
  • Do not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Adult supervision is required for riders below 18 years old.
  • Prohibited for pregnant women and users under 14 years old.
  • Do not exceed the maximum rated load of 220 lb (100 kg).
  • Only one rider at a time; do not carry children on arms.
  • Do not engage in extreme riding or ride up/down stairs.
  • Hold the handlebar securely with both hands.
  • Do not modify the electric bicycle or its battery.
  • Avoid riding in rain or snow; if necessary, slow down and avoid emergency braking.
  • Adjust tire pressure to 35-45 psi (240Kpa-310 Kpa).
  • Turn off the electric lock to avoid unintended throttle actuation.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning:

  • Disconnect from charger and ensure power is off before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, damp cloth for the frame and body parts.
  • Use a toothbrush for hardened dirt or hard-to-reach areas.
  • WARNING: Do NOT soak, spray, or pour water directly onto the e-bike. Do NOT wash with a hose or pressure cleaner. Do NOT use corrosive/volatile solvents (gasoline, alcohol, acetone, etc.). Failure to follow these can damage electronic components.

Tires Maintenance:

  • The e-bike has tubed tires.
  • Inflate tires to 35-45 psi (240Kpa-310 Kpa) when deflated by 20-30% to prevent damage and improve battery range.

Chain Maintenance:

  • Lubricate the chain periodically with bicycle-approved lubricants to extend its life.
  • Inspect chain tension periodically and adjust to ensure 1/4 to 1/2 inch play in both directions.

Battery Information and Charging:

  • Use only the original ETTRONE charger.
  • Charge the battery by opening the dust cover, inserting the DC plug into the battery port, and plugging the AC side into a power outlet.
  • The charger LED will be RED when charging and GREEN when fully charged.
  • The battery can also be removed for charging.
  • Battery Safety & Precautions:
    • Charge, operate, and store the battery within 32 - 86°F (0 - 35°C).
    • Do NOT charge in corridors or near combustible materials.
    • NEVER leave charging unattended or connected after fully charged.
    • Do NOT use if visually damaged, leaking, or emitting odor.
    • Do NOT open or repair the battery.
    • Follow local regulations for transportation and disposal of lithium batteries.
    • Avoid water exposure to the battery circuit.

Storage:

  • Store in a cool, dry place indoors.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
  • Charge the battery after each ride.
  • Avoid completely draining the battery.
  • If storing for extended periods, charge the battery before storage and at least once every three months.
  • WARNING: Do not attempt to disassemble the e-bike, battery, or any electrical component, as this voids the manufacturer's warranty. Contact ETTRONE for support.
