Overview

The STELLAR Bassinet & Bedside Sleeper is a versatile infant sleeping product designed for use as both a standalone bassinet and a bedside sleeper, allowing an infant to sleep close to an adult bed. It is suitable for infants until they begin to push up on hands and knees, roll over, or reach 25 lbs, whichever comes first, typically around 5 months of age.

Function Description:

The device serves two primary functions:

  1. Bassinet Mode: In this mode, all four sides of the bassinet are raised and zipped to completely close, providing a secure and enclosed sleeping area for the infant. The side panel must be locked in this mode.
  2. Bedside Sleeper Mode: This mode allows the bassinet to be positioned next to an adult bed, with one side unzipped and lowered. The bedside sleeper must be securely attached to the adult bed using the provided attachment system to prevent entrapment. The top rail of the bedside sleeper must be no higher than the adult bed mattress to avoid injury.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Weight Limit: Designed for infants up to 25 lbs (approximately 5 months of age).
  • Adult Bed Height Compatibility: The bedside sleeper is designed for use with adult beds that are between 18.5 - 24 inches (47 - 60 cm) from the floor to the top of the adult mattress.
  • Gap Requirement: There must be no more than 1½ inch (13mm) gap between the bedside sleeper and the adult bed. If the gap exceeds 1/2 inch (13mm), the product should not be used.
  • Adjustable Height: The bassinet features height adjuster buttons (A1) on both sides, allowing the user to raise or lower the sleeping area. Both legs of the bassinet must always be adjusted to the same height, and the base should never be inclined.
  • Adjustable Feet: The adjustable feet (A3) can be rotated inwards using the adjustable feet rotate button (A4) to allow the bedside sleeper to be positioned closer to the adult bed, especially for box beds.
  • Components: The product includes a Frame, Legs and Fabric (A), Side Rail (B), Middle Support Frame (C), Fixing Belts (D), Travel Bag (E), Stabilizing Bar (F), and Mattress Pad (G).

Usage Features:

  • Assembly: The manual provides detailed instructions for assembling the bassinet, including inserting the side rail into the middle support frame, attaching the middle support frame to the main frame, and installing the stabilizing bar. Fabric loops are secured with velcro to the support frames.
  • Mattress Pad: The Mattress Pad (G) is placed inside the assembled bassinet for the infant's comfort.
  • Height Adjustment: To adjust the height, press the height adjustment buttons (A1) on both sides simultaneously. Ensure both legs are at the same height.
  • Feet Rotation: The adjustable feet can be rotated inwards to bring the bedside sleeper closer to the adult bed.
  • Bedside Sleeper Conversion: To convert to bedside sleeper mode, unzip the sides completely. Slide the bar lock lever (A2) on the top bar and lift the top bar out of the grooves on both sides.
  • Attachment to Adult Bed: In bedside sleeper mode, the Fixing Belts (D) are passed under the adult bed and over the mattress, then pulled firmly until the straps are in the correct position and the harness clicks into place. The bedside sleeper must be tightly attached to the adult bed mattress without any gaps. The adult mattress should be pushed against the bedside sleeper after securing.
  • Travel Mode: For folding and storage, the side rail, fixing belt, stabilizing bar, and middle support frame are removed. The bassinet is adjusted to its lowest position. The mattress pad and stabilizing bar are placed on the floor, followed by the folded frame, legs, and fabric. The side rail and middle frame are then placed on top, and the entire product is stored in the Travel Bag (E).

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Checks: Periodically check the product for loose, damaged, or missing parts. Do not use the product if any part is loose, missing, or shows signs of damage.
  • Fabric Care: The product features a water-resistant, completely removable, and washable fabric cover.
    • Hand wash in cold water.
    • Do not bleach.
    • Do not tumble dry.
    • Do not iron.
    • Do not dry clean.
  • Cleaning: Do not use solvents, abrasive, or aggressive products for cleaning.
  • Lining Removal/Application: Handle the fabric carefully during removal or application of the lining to avoid accidental damage or tears.
  • Post-Wash Check: After each wash, check the resistance of the fabric and stitching.

Safety Warnings (summarized):

  • Always read and follow all instructions for assembly and use.
  • Never substitute parts; contact Evolur for replacements if needed.
  • Suffocation Hazard: Use only the provided mattress pad and sheets. Never add pillows, comforters, or other mattresses. Ensure no gaps between extra padding and the bassinet sides. Never leave the infant in the bassinet with sides down unless securely attached to an adult bed in sleeper mode. Place infants on their backs to sleep.
  • Entrapment Hazard: Securely attach the bedside sleeper to the adult bed using the attachment system. Ensure no more than 1½ inch (13mm) gap between the bedside sleeper and the adult bed. Do not fill gaps with pillows or blankets. The top rail must not be higher than the adult bed mattress in bedside sleeper mode.
  • Fall Hazard: Move the child to another sleeping product when they show signs of pushing up on hands and knees, rolling over, or reach 25 lbs.
  • Strangulation Hazard: Never place the product near window blinds or patio doors with cords. Do not hang strings over the product or place items with strings around an infant's neck.
  • Ensure the side panel is locked in bassinet mode.
  • The bedside sleeper must be fitted to the long side of the adult bed, not the short side.
  • The removal and/or application of lining should be carried out by an adult.
  • Ensure fixing buckles are straight and not loose, and the bassinet remains straight and not lopsided when attached to the bed.
  • Lock the wheels in place when using in bedside sleeper mode.
