Why won't my EXPERT GRILL GBC1849W-U burner light using the igniter?
    • K
      Kathleen RodriguezAug 17, 2025
There are several reasons why the burner might not light with the igniter: * The gas cylinder valve might be closed. Ensure the regulator is securely attached and the gas cylinder valve is open. * The gas cylinder could be low or empty. Exchange, refill, or replace the gas cylinder. * There may be LP gas. Turn the gas cylinder valve to “CLOSED”, wait 5 minutes, and then follow the “Checking for Leaks” section. * The wires or electrode might be covered with cooking residue. Clean them with rubbing alcohol. * The electrode and burners could be wet. Wipe them dry with a cloth. * The electrode might be cracked or broken, or the wire loose or shorting. In these cases, replacement parts may be needed. * The igniter itself might be bad, requiring a replacement.
