6. Remove guard ramp pivot plates (FIG. 4.4a) from the platform. Locate the guard ramp and ramp spacer
tubes then slide the pivot plates and spacer tubes over the ramp torque tubes as shown (FIG. 4.4b
)

7. Position the guard ramp with pivot plates on the entry side of the platform and secure both pivot plates
to the platform with the bolts removed in the previous step.
8. Install the pivot arm assembly by first removing the bolt and nut from the pivot arm (FIG. 4.5
).
a. Slide the pivot arm into the torque tube on the guard ramp until the bolt holes align.
b. Secure with the bolt and nut removed previously.
c. Verify that the roller is positioned beneath the guard ramp activating bar.
The roller will contact activating bar when operated. Avoid pinch points!
