QUICK START GUIDE: 3FE-8612X
Dear Customer,
This Quick Start Guide is enclosed with detailed washing
machine operating instructions. Before using the appliance
carefully read the Operating Instructions, especially
guidelines for safe use.
Before plugging the washing machine into the mains,
remove the safety packaging and ensure the machine is level.
Do not start the washing machine before it is properly
set up.
Only wash delicate fabrics, synthetics, wool using
designated programs. Such fabrics should only be washed in
the maximum load sizes recommended (see page 2.).
The correct washing machine operation extends its lifetime
so make sure the drum seal is dry (leave the door ajar after
washing). Do not clean the washing machine with harsh or
abrasive detergents.
Preparing to wash1
Empty pockets
Close all zips and button up duvet covers.
Wash delicate and small items in a protective mesh
laundry bag.
Open the door of the washing machine by gripping
the door and the door handle on the inside of the
door.
Insert the sorted clothes into the washing machine:
Cotton — max full drum.
Synthetics — max ½ of the drum.
Silk, wool — max 1/3 of the drum.
Close the door, press rmly against the seal.
Add detergent2
Open the detergent drawer. Pull the handle.
Pour the recommended dose of washing detergent
into the appropriate compartment of the detergent
drawer.
Add fabric conditioner to the appropriate
compartment if required.
MAIN WASH detergent.
Fabric softener or other special care liquids.
PREWASH detergent.
OptiDose — automatic (liquid) detergent
dispensing*
The OptiDose button is used for automated
dispensing of liquid detergent. You can choose the
detergent dose — small, medium, large — or turn o
the system.
Press and hold the OptiDose button for 3 seconds
to turn o the OptiDose option. Press and hold the
OptiDose button for 3 seconds again to turn on the
OptiDose option.

Set the programme selector knob to the desired
programme.
Customize the programme to your needs — you
can change the temperature, spin speed, or
enable additional features.
Select additional functions. The additional
functions are described on the control panel and
in the “Table of Wash Programmes” (see page 2) .
Select START4
Close the appliance door.
Set the programme selector dial to the desired
programme (see page 2).
Select additional functions or wash cycle
parameters as required – according to your
needs.
Select time remaining ranging from 1 to 24
hours.
Then press the START/ PAUSE button
End of the wash5
End of the wash cycle is indicated by acoustic signal
(if active). The display shows END and the door lock
indicator light goes out.
Close the water valve.
Turn washing machine o.
Unplug the appliance from the mains.
Open the door and remove laundry. Once clothes
are removed, leave the door slightly ajar to allow the
drum seal to dry before the door is closed properly.
Leave the detergent drawer compartment slightly
ajar to allow it to dry.

Key Components:

  • Detergent Drawer (1): Located at the top left, this drawer has compartments for main wash detergent (II), prewash detergent (I), and fabric softener/special care liquids. Some models feature an OptiDose system for automated liquid detergent dispensing, allowing users to select small, medium, or large doses, or turn the system off.
  • Drum (2): The main washing compartment where clothes are loaded.
  • Program Selector Dial (3): Used to select the desired wash program.
  • Control Panel / Display (4): Shows program information, remaining time (7), and allows for selection of various settings and options, including temperature (8), spin speed (9), soil level (10), rapid wash (11), and other options like Extra Rinse/Pre-wash (12). It also indicates the end of a wash cycle and displays error codes if any.

Usage Features:

Preparing to Wash:

  1. Empty Pockets: Ensure all pockets are empty to prevent damage to the machine or clothes.
  2. Secure Zips and Buttons: Close all zips and button up duvet covers to avoid snagging.
  3. Protect Delicates: Wash delicate and small items in a protective mesh laundry bag.
  4. Load Laundry: Open the door and load sorted clothes into the drum.
    • Cotton: Max full drum.
    • Synthetics: Max ½ of the drum.
    • Silk, Wool: Max 1/3 of the drum.
  5. Close Door: Close the door firmly against the seal.

Adding Detergent:

  1. Open the detergent drawer by pulling the handle.
  2. Pour the recommended dose of washing detergent into the appropriate compartment (II for main wash, I for prewash).
  3. Add fabric conditioner or other special care liquids into the designated compartment if required.
  4. For OptiDose models, press and hold the OptiDose button for 3 seconds to toggle the automated dispensing system on/off.

Program Selection and Customization:

  1. Turn the program selector knob (3) to the desired program.
  2. Customize the program using the control panel (4) to change temperature (8), spin speed (9), soil level (10), and enable additional functions (12) such as Extra Rinse or Pre-wash.
  3. The display (4) shows the time remaining (7), which can range from 1 to 24 hours.
  4. Press the START/PAUSE button to begin the cycle.

End of the Wash:

  1. An acoustic signal (if active) indicates the end of the wash cycle. The display shows "END" and the door lock indicator light goes out.
  2. Close the water valve.
  3. Turn the washing machine off.
  4. Unplug the appliance from the mains.
  5. Open the door and remove laundry.
  6. Leave the door slightly ajar to allow the drum seal to dry.
  7. Leave the detergent drawer compartment slightly ajar to allow it to dry.

Program Table Highlights:

The machine offers a comprehensive range of programs, each tailored for specific fabric types and soil levels:

  • Cotton Eco (60°C/1200 RPM/8.0 kg): For moderately or heavily soiled cotton, bed linen, table linen, undergarments, towels, and linen fabrics. Energy and water efficient.
  • Cotton (40°C/1200 RPM/8.0 kg): For heavily soiled clothing or moderately soiled cotton and linen for children that requires boiling.
  • Daily 58' (60°C/1200 RPM/2.0 kg): A full and effective washing cycle in less than 1 hour, one of the shortest programs, offering convenience and time saving.
  • Shirts (40°C/800 RPM/4.0 kg): For dirty cotton, clothing made from synthetic fabrics or natural-synthetic fabric blends (shirts, blouses).
  • Physical Fitness (30°C/800 RPM/4.0 kg): For sportswear and leisure wear with Microfibre.
  • Out-of-home Advertising (30°C/800 RPM/4.0 kg): Special program for outerwear and sportswear, often waterproof. Allows adding a hydrophobic coating to the rinse aid compartment to increase water resistance.
  • Dark (40°C/1000 RPM/4.0 kg): For lightly soiled delicate synthetics, or synthetic and cotton blends.
  • Synthetics (40°C/800 RPM/4.0 kg): For dirty cotton, synthetics, colored laundry, and linen fabrics.
  • Autoclean (90°C/600 RPM/No Load): A special program (no load) that sterilizes (90-95°C) and cleans the inner and outer drum from allergens and pathogens like fungi, molds, and bacteria.
  • Rinse (Cold/1200 RPM/8.0 kg): For rinsing with additives (anti-static or softening). Reduce spin speed for very delicate fabrics.
  • Steam Refresh (No Water/No Spin): Special program that uses steam to refresh laundry, remove bad odors, or freshen lightly used shirts.
  • Wool (40°C/600 RPM/2.0 kg): For woollen fabrics, check cloth tag for machine wash compatibility.
  • Delicate (30°C/600 RPM/2.5 kg): For very delicate fabrics, e.g., silk.
  • Express 15' (Cold Water/800 RPM/2.0 kg): For lightly soiled, sweaty cotton and linen clothes. Requires less detergent due to the extra short wash cycle.
