This document is a user guide for a Fagor microwave oven. It provides detailed instructions on how to operate the appliance, its various functions, and maintenance tips.
Function Description
The Fagor microwave oven offers a wide range of cooking functions, including:
- Microwave Function: This is the primary function for quick heating and cooking. It supports various power levels from 100W to 1000W (full power).
- Grill Function: This function allows for cooking and browning foods, such as gratinated dishes and meats. It has medium and high grill settings with three levels (-1, -2, -3).
- Grill Plus Microwave Function: This combines the grill and microwave functions for quick cooking. It can be used with any of the grill levels.
- Heat Circulation Function: This function allows for cooking and browning foods similar to a traditional oven. The temperature can be adjusted from 50°C to 250°C in 10°C increments.
- Microwave Plus Heat Circulation Function: This combines microwave and heat circulation for faster cooking. The temperature can be adjusted from 50°C to 250°C in 10°C increments.
- Defrost Function: This function is designed to defrost frozen foods, with a default power level of 200W. It includes automatic defrosting programs based on food type and weight (d1, d2, d3, d4).
- Automatic Cooking (Cooking Guide): This feature offers 12 pre-programmed settings (P01 to P12) for different food types and weights, automatically setting the cooking time and mode. Categories include refrigerated ready meals, fresh pizza, frozen pizza, roast pork, roast beef, poultry, fish, fresh vegetables, vegetables with high water content, frozen vegetables, tarts, and quiches.
- Keeping Things Hot: This function maintains food at a desired temperature, adjustable from 35°C to 100°C.
- Timer Function: A general timer function for setting specific durations.

Usage Features
- Setting and Adjusting Time: The clock can be set and adjusted easily using the Plus/Minus buttons.
- Programming: Programs can be started, suspended, or stopped. A delayed start option is available for Grill, Heat Circulation, and combined functions.
- Child Safety: The child safety lock can be activated to prevent accidental operation.
- Turntable Operation: The turntable rotates in either direction for even cooking. It can be stopped for larger dishes, but manual stirring is then required.
- Reheating on Two Levels: When using 500W microwave power, two dishes can be reheated simultaneously, one on the turntable and one on the shelf at level 3.
- Automatic Cooking: The "Cooking Guide" simplifies cooking by automatically programming settings based on food type and weight. It includes prompts to turn food over mid-way through cooking for optimal results.
- Defrosting: Automatic defrosting programs calculate time based on food weight. For larger items, the turntable stop function can be used, requiring regular stirring.
- Grill and Heat Circulation: These functions allow for browning and traditional oven-style cooking. Specific shelf levels are recommended for different foods to ensure optimal results.
- Combined Functions: The Grill Plus Microwave and Microwave Plus Heat Circulation functions offer faster cooking by combining heating methods.
- Contrast Adjustment: The display contrast can be adjusted.
- Delayed Start: Available for grill, heat circulation, and combined functions, allowing users to set a desired end time for cooking.
- Ventilation: The oven has a delayed ventilation function to eliminate moisture after a program ends.
Maintenance Features
- Turntable: The glass turntable and its drive mechanism should be kept clean. In case of rotation problems, check for foreign bodies under the guide wheels.
- Cookware: The manual provides recommendations for appropriate cookware for each function, such as heat-resistant, microwave-safe dishes (Pyrex, porcelain, earthenware) and avoiding metal cookware in combined microwave modes.
- Cleaning: While not explicitly detailed in a dedicated section, the usage instructions imply regular cleaning, especially when turning food or handling spills. For example, cooking roasts without barding fat is recommended to reduce smoke and grease splashes.
- Preheating: For heat circulation functions, preheating the oven is recommended, similar to a traditional oven. However, preheating is explicitly warned against in the Microwave Plus Heat Circulation mode to prevent appliance damage.
- Resting Food: After cooking, especially for roasts, wrapping the food in aluminum foil and letting it rest for 10 minutes is recommended to improve succulence and allow heat to distribute evenly.
The user guide also includes a section on "Function Suitability Tests" in accordance with IEC/EN/NF EN 60705 standards, providing specific test loads, approximate times, power levels, and cookware tips for various dishes like egg custard, Savoie cake, meatloaf, defrosting meat/raspberries, potatoes au gratin, chicken, and cake.
