8. Remove the shaft retaining ring, HP shaft
bushing and O-ring.
NOTES: If retaining ring appears worn or dis-
torted, replace it.
NOTES: The graphite shaft sleeve retaining
ring does not need to be removed unless it is
distorted or corroded and needs replacement.
7. Remove the high pressure seal carrier O-
ring.
6. Remove the inlet retaining ring, inlet washer,
stationary seal, mechanical seal and shaft
washer carrier.
