Dusk to Dawn
• The light will turn on at dusk.
• The light will remain on through the night until dawn. At dawn, the light will turn off.
• The light will remain off through the day until dusk.
Sensor Cover (GG)
Troubleshooting
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION
1. Light does not come
on after dark
2. Light stays on
3. Outdoor Lantern cycles ON
and OFF continuously
1. No power is being delivered to the fixture.
2. Another light source is causing the Outdoor
Lantern to think it is daylight.
3. Wiring inside electrical box came loose.
4. Ambient light levels too high.
1. Sensor cover is placed on
Dusk-to-Dawn sensor.
2. Dusk-to-Dawn sensor is dirty.
1. Check that circuit breaker and/or wall
switchpower is on.
2. Turn off surrounding lights.
3. Turn power off to the fixture and check supply
wire for any loose wiring.
1. Remove sensor cover from Dusk-to-Dawn sensor.
2. Clean Dusk-to-Dawn sensor with a damp cloth.
1. Dusk-to-Dawn sensor is sensing reflected
light from the Outdoor Lantern.
1. Ensure Outdoor Lantern is not in front of any
reflective surfaces.
If this fixture fails to operate properly, use the guide below to diagnose and correct the problem:
• Verify that power is turned on at switch and breaker.
• Verify that fixture is wired properly.
• Verify that line voltage is correct.
• Test if photocontrol works properly.
The photocontrol in this fixture is designed to turn on fixture at low light levels.
NOTE: To make sure this function works properly, always
keep the wall switch in the “ON” position (including daytime).
NOTE: A sensor cover (GG) is provided which can be used to
block out light and bypass the sensor. This will keep the light
continuous on and fixture can be controlled to turn on/off
through the wall switch or a master photocell.
