Overview

The Feiyu Scorp-C is a camera gimbal designed to stabilize cameras and provide various control functionalities.

Function Description:

The Feiyu Scorp-C gimbal is primarily used for stabilizing cameras during video recording and photography, ensuring smooth and steady footage. It offers multiple operational modes to suit different shooting scenarios, including Pan mode, Pan&Tilt mode, All Follow Mode, Flash Mode, and Lock Mode. Users can switch between these modes using the M button. The gimbal also features a multi-function knob for controlling pan, tilt, and roll axes, electronic zooming, and a follow focus motor. It can be controlled remotely via a smartphone app, which also allows for firmware updates and parameter adjustments.

  • Maximum Payload: Approximately 2500g (when well balanced before powering on).
  • Weight: Around 1200g (including quick release plate and built-in battery, without camera, lens, etc.).

Usage Features:

  • Power Button:
    • Long press: Turns the gimbal on/off.
    • Single press (in sleep mode): Wakes up from sleep mode.
    • Double press: Enters sleep mode.
  • M Button (Mode Switching):
    • Single press: Switches among Pan mode (default), Pan&Tilt mode, All Follow Mode, Flash Mode, and Lock Mode.
    • 5-time press: Initiates horizontal calibration. The Bluetooth indicator turns solid from flashing upon completion. Tap the M button to return to the working state.
  • Shutter Button:
    • Half-press: Focuses the camera.
    • Single press: Starts/stops recording.
    • Long press: Takes a photo.
  • Trigger Button:
    • Double press: Returns to the initial position (current mode remains unchanged).
    • Long press: Temporarily switches to a customized mode (default is Pan&Tilt mode, customizable via the Feiyu Scorp APP). Releasing the button returns to the previous mode.
    • Triple press: Activates Selfie mode (Pan axis turns 180°, and automatically switches to Pan Follow mode).
  • Multi-function Knob:
    • Controls pan, tilt, and roll axes (in axis-control state).
    • Controls electronic zooming in/out.
    • Controls the Follow Focus motor.
  • Knob Mode Switching Button:
    • Long press: Switches the knob functions between Electronic Follow Focus, Follow Focus, and axis control.
    • Single tap: Switches between Pan, Tilt, and Roll control (only when in axis control state).
  • Camera Connection: When connecting with a compatible Panasonic camera via a DC2.5mm cable, the mechanical shutter release only supports binary signals and does not support switching camera modes. Users need to manually switch modes on the camera. The camera mode icon will not appear in this case.

Maintenance Features:

  • Motor Auto Tune: If the gimbal vibrates after switching cameras, ensure the camera is tightly mounted and balanced. Then, press the Motor Auto Tune button for 5 seconds until a beep sound is heard. The motors will auto-tune and finish with another beep sound.
  • Balancing Heavy Cameras: If it's difficult to move the arm or tighten the screw when balancing heavy cameras, hold up the arm slightly with one hand to reduce friction, making it easier to adjust and tighten. Release the arm once balancing is complete.
  • Resolving Gimbal Issues (Not Centered, Drifting, Not Level):
    • Switch to "none-All follow mode," then tap the M button 5 times. When the Bluetooth indicator turns solid from flashing, calibration is complete. Tap the M button to return to the working state.
    • Alternatively, use the Feiyu Scorp APP to manually adjust the horizontal angle.
  • Firmware Updates: The Feiyu Scorp APP can be used to update gimbal firmware.
  • Parameter Adjustment: Gimbal parameters can be adjusted using the Feiyu Scorp APP.
  • Version Information: To check the gimbal's version information, connect to the Feiyu Scorp APP, go to "More," and then "Firmware Info."
