Filling the tank
WARNING. Always ensure the engine is turned o before undertaking
this task.
Never add fuel to a machine with a running or hot engine. Move at least
15 metres away from the refuelling site before starting engine. Do not smoke
when refuelling or operating the line trimmer.
NOTE: It is normal for smoke to be emitted from a new engine during and
after rst use.
1. Rest the line trimmer on the ground or a secure
surface such that it is resting on the fuel tank (6) and
wipe any debris from around the fuel tank cap (5).
2. Unscrew the fuel tank cap (5) and pour the
mixture into the tank with the aid of a funnel.

NOTE: Be careful not to spill any mixture. If this
happens, wipe the spill with a clean rag. Secure fuel
tank cap (5).
3. Start the engine at least 15 metres away from the area where the fuel tank
has been lled up in order to avoid any risk of re.
• Always use extreme care when handling fuel! Fuel is highly ammable.
• Never attempt to fuel the line trimmer if the fuel system components are
damaged or are leaking.
• Never attempt to refuel the engine while it is running or still warm, allow it
to cool before fuelling.
• Never smoke or light any res near the line trimmer or fuels.
• Always transport and store fuels in an approved container.
• Never place ammable material close to the engine muer.
• Never operate the line trimmer without a properly functioning muer and
spark plug cover installed.
• Never operate the line trimmer unless it is properly assembled and in good
working condition.
• Do not use ethanol based fuels as it may damage the fuel lines and other
engine parts.
•
Mix only enough fuel / 2 stroke oil for your immediate needs. Do not store pre-
mixed fuel.
