If your Ferris Lawn Mower engine stalls easily with the mower deck engaged, ensure the engine speed is set to full throttle. Also, the ground speed might be too fast, so decrease it. If the cutting height is set too low, especially in tall grass, raise it. Cut tall grass at the maximum cutting height during the first pass, and then at the desired cutting height for the second pass. Finally, check if the discharge chute is jamming with cut grass; cut grass with the discharge pointing towards the previously cut area.
